Finally arrived, after being held by Polish Customs and forcing me to pay tax (which I replied 'fuck off' to).

Posting cartpix on your beloved Sonic CulT 0 minutes after getting it:

Going home in 1-2 hours, gonna test it and take pix of the gameplay (hopefully). So you should have gamepix tomorrow. As for dumping - didn't recieve the SCD shit I bought ages ago, so as soon as I get the stuff, the proto's gonna get dumped

Also, notice the 70% writing. And the 8th eeprom didn't have a window covered - which means it's empty - which means the game is under 3,5MB in size (the final is 4MB).

Edit: Turned out to be 95%. heh =P

What's different? The sega sound, the title screen, and some things are missing. Promised in-game shots:

SEGA 1
The title screen
After the title screen, it goes directly to the level select (notice the Final Boss name change)
Gameplay, nothing interesting
A flicky
A different monitor (one of the minor differences)
Special stage. Different rings amount requirement
Again
And again
This made my day
Spring level. Missing bumpers
Volcano level. Missing rocks
Final Boss

Sorry for the crap quality, but I think not the quality counts. Other than that, there's some minor music swaps (not changes, just different levels have different music (PPZ has 2nd level's music). There are some more funny screens like that one with a chaos emerald collected (2 I think).

I hope they didn't delete some stuff inside or something.

The final wasn't bad. The music was delicious. :P

... I liked Sonic 3D a lot, especially Volcano Valley Zone... all though admittedly, Diamond Dust Zone WAS a headache.

If the EEPROM was supposed to be used, then the game won't work at all. If that's the case, I'd be surprised that the original owner tried to sell it.

Assuming it does work, then the ROM must be smaller than the final version and as such is more interesting.
