Sonic 1 Megamix

I actually prefer the Sonic CD jump sound over the Sonic 1/2/3 one. I assume it's just a preference of who's making the game.

 

I'm happy the announcer sounds are in this build.

 

Thanks for the build, even though it is given reluctantly. I really like the progress so far (providing that any of it will be reflected in the official release), and the first zone's makeover is very nice. Not sure why you decided to include Knuckles, but hey, I'm not complaining. Otherwise, I won't comment on anything else.

I will say one other thing though, and that's that the announcer in the boss areas is awesome.

It's pretty damn awesome. I do miss the "Run bitch" sign in City Outskirts though. Tracks are great and you got me with that anime opening.

And here I was, feeling privelaged as a secret amnesia Megamix second-hand beta tester.

From now on, let's have this release be known as "Sonic Megamix 3.0hfuck" so as not to get it confused with 4.0 if/whenever Team Megamix decides to release it. Can I just ask who implemented the sound board on the sound test? It's fucktastic.

 

Whhaaaa? I've seen this build back when it was fresh and I have never seen an anime intro!

I would say it's a fake and you're just trying to mess with us. But then I see the palette of the lives icon...and ask why the hell a character no one liked in the first place, not to mention his horrible gameplay, would need to be included in a hack. I guess it's just so it's a "we have everything" hack?

Being one of the few (and the proud (and the briefly sodomized)) who has a later build, I must say... you ain't seen nothing yet :P

Though I'm glad I can stop keeping my mouth shut about that epic sound test.

 

I think the worst part about this is how much it lags. Seriously, every other frame feels like a lag frame.

I was watching a TAS of 3.0 a few days ago and that was about 10% lag frames. That's no good.

(aside from that the sound test is pretty much awesome)

 

Yeesh, I am trying to restrain myself from downloading this (I don't like playing beta's of stuff) yet all of you are tempting me with "SOUND TEST, SOUND TEST, SOUND TEST!!!!" like those shouting TV commercials.

Well as Tweaker said earlier this is an ancient build that is far from finished or ready for the public. Technically it shouldn't even be out, but Nineko had to go and be a dick.

Your decision on releasing it seemed kind of weird to me. I think I would have just requested people try and keep it quiet and not spread it around so much, but oh well. I think I'll pass this up and wait for a real release to download.
