Sonic Social Media Shenanigans (This totally just happened...)

Calling it now, 3/21 teaser, 4/1 will be the official reveal (in spite of the date). Similar to Generations' teaser being uploaded on April 7th, and then the game was officially revealed April 18th. Both have the same waiting gap period.

That said, I'm totally all in favor of Ruby pulling an April Fools prank first and either announcing a Sonic 2006 sequel or Big's Bass Fishing 3000.

(Bonus points for Pikachu in a Sombrero appearing in some capacity.)

 

Echoing the above three posters in that the numbers probably convert to dates. I think Ruby's post earlier on this thread was most definitely a date indicating that the other numbers refer to a March date. So as everyone else said teaser in March and reveal in April with the game following the same marketing pattern as Generations?

As for Big the Cat being used in the image I think it's pretty obvious what that means: Big's Extreme Fishing Fighter II Turbo: Hook, Line and Sinker.

Makes plenty of sense. Instead of Sonic and Tails co-op we'll have Sonic and Big Co-op.

I get the feeling the guessing game's going to last a few months before everybody runs out of ideas, and then the real thing turns out to be something we couldn't have guessed in a million years. :v: I'm used to this from the SRB2 forums' old April Fools events.

The 4, 1, and 16 are in Comic Sans, so that's a date: April 1st.
The 3 and 21 are in a different font, so maybe March 21st they'll have an announcement about something??

 

The different font is Papyrus.

Ruby likes Undertale.
