well, if you happen to have the same model as me (which I think you have), the game won't run correctly. As I said in a previous post, it lags a lot, it has poor resolution, and it crashes from time to time on my device. But probably not all devices are the same so I would just wait untill it goes free just in case, I wouldn't like to happen the same as happened to me, and wasted money on a game that can be barely played
Here are the screenshots from the iPad version, if anyone's still interested: http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-9255/img_0012.png http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-9256/img_0013.png
So, the problems with the game cited by various people here and over at the SSMB: Cheap level design Controls can be unresponsive (as I expected) Missions are limited in quantity and often irritatingly difficult, plus they're the only way to get red rings You can't get enough red rings to unlock all characters without paying for them, and there's only enough for just Amy Characters are just reskins, Amy's run looks silly The game runs poorly on 4-gen devices This game is practically designed to nickel-and-dime you Jesus Christ. Jump was decent, but how the hell did Hardlight end up making something as cheap as this?
It was an obvious quick dev game. Basically, trying to capitalize off the popularity of Temple Run. I'm sure they'll further patch it, but as is, it's just sloppy. I do wish some devs would take phone game development a little more seriously.
I don't know, I like this one better than Jump. It at least feels more Sonic-y to me. I do agree though, object placement can be really cheap, and I wish there were more stages or something because I've seen enough Seaside Hill for a lifetime.
I really do wonder what's the obsession with Seaside Hill. Yes, it's better than Yet Another Green Hill, but not by much. Too soon for more Splash Hill (Green Hill Ver. 4+) or giving another level a rub?
^ This guys ^ C'mon guys, it just came out 3 or so days ago. mind you they shouldn't have released it in such a cheap state and the complaining does help but knowing Hardlight they will patch it soon.
Patch what exactly? The game contains three unlockable characters, 2 of which are unavailable in the current version without paying extra. However, they're all unavailable if you choose to use revives (as the game so frequently asks you to do). That's because the Red Rings are finite. So even with future updates, it's entirely possible you won't ever be able to unlock everything that you've bought without paying more. And on top of that, the characters are purely cosmetic changes. There's nothing different between them, despite the fact you would expect otherwise. And don't get me started on how outrageous some of these missions are, especially with the skip function. I've said it before and I'll say it again- micro-transaction based games, ala Jump, are fine. But Dash takes it to an all new level by punishing players for not paying extra. And I can't defend that.
This is what they'll most likely patch: Unfair Object Placement More Missions or make missions re-doable. Make the Characters more then a skin (maybe) Less Forced Micro-transactions. (most likely not) But what I'd like is that Sonic goes through new zones as he goes further. For example it could go: Seaside Hill -> Grand Metropolis -> Casino Park etc. It'd just make it a lot more interesting then being in Seaside Hill.
I could see them put in more characters and maybe zones. New missions have already been confirmed but still, them being finite would still be a big problem. A game like this shouldn't use micro-transactions so heavily if you already need to pay up front for it. It's somewhat acceptable if it's free, but even then the cost of everything would still be way too much.
Would be nice if they did an Android version. Hopefully. I can play it on my Galaxy Tab 2. Or Bluestacks.
They aren't going to patch the object placement to be easier. I guarantee you that any cheapness is intentional because it makes you want to buy revives to continue hence buy red rings hence give Sega more money.
So, pay to win in a paid game, as well as being forced to pay to unlock stuff. WHAT THE FUCK, SEGA/HARDLIGHT. Seriously, that's total bullshit.
Uh, you people know you could just use this to bypass all that DLC crap, right? Seriously, it works perfectly fine and it's safe too. I used it to blast through Sonic Jump and managed to 100% clear the game... Until Sega releases a new update for it with more levels.
Wow, you're saying piracy can be used to illegitimately gain access to things without paying money for them? What a breakthrough.
