I think LOst knows this. It's a value in the RAM, this much I know.

Never thought of it before. There is a list of rings for each act. Check Nemesis' guide

I don't think that is right. It's messing with some of the sound effects.

Obviously just change the amount of rings are in the level.

The word "should", "would" or "could" is irrelevant. It's still "have" rather than "of". Nobody said I was directly quoting him when showing the incorrect usage of the word "of".

While playing around with the special Sonic version of Gens, I noticed that Super Ring boxes don't count towards the perfect bonus. Neither do rings you place with debug, or rings you lost that are bouncing away. You have to get every normally-placed ring in the level, then hit the end signpost without losing your rings.

    Nothing worth mentioning
I don't think you need all the rings to get a perfect bonus. I think all you need to do is at least get every ring at least once, so it doesn't matter if you get hit.

I don't know about the genesis ones but the newer Sonic games require you to get all the rings and beat the level without getting hit to get the perfect bonus.
