Tails Doll

I liked the Tails Doll, though it was a cool design compared to some of the current tripe, but like most characters it a one off and we'll never see it again. Thank god, too. I trust Sonic Team to do anything right anymore, let alone handle a mute, emotionless doll.

And really, why the fuck are some people getting so worked up over? "IT DIDN'T ADD ANYTHING TO THE SERIES" "THE SERIES SUCKS WITHOUT HIM". Jesus christ, stop taking it so damn seriously, you losers.

 

To be fair, he did debut in a racing game with absolutely no dialogue or cut scenes whatsoever. At least he looked cool and fit right in.

I wouldn't mind the other two doppelgangers making a return if it was pulled off right. I think it's a bit funny that Eggman apparently decided putting the same amount of effort into a doppelganger for Tails as he did Knuckles and Sonic wasn't worth it. It kinda fits in with the whole light-hearted side of the franchise.

 

I don't think I have EVER played as the tails doll....but seeing Metal Knuckles again would be nice..

 

GEE. That sure sounds familiar......for over half the characters within the francise...INCLUDING SONIC HIMSELF. I find it kinda twisted that we know MORE about Shadow than him!

 

A forgettable character specifically created for a largely forgettable game? Sorry, but I really didn't like anything about Sonic R (well, I guess it was the music that killed it, but the game itself wasn't anything to write home about). Pass.

This series already has way more filler characters than it can handle. Bringing in another one really isn't necessary, unless you want even more characters in the next Sonic RPG game.

lol xD nah, I think that tails doll is cool, all that freaking stories and curses of course are not real but that is the example that how the fans can make a character xP

 

Good point. Why do you need a stupid doll in the game when you have the real Tails?

 

Tails Doll needs to come back maybe as a super-secret unlockable bonus where it just goes around haunting the dreams of little children.

Actually, it would have made a pretty nice secret/extra boss character in the recent NiGHTS game.

Sure, a large part of what makes it intriguing is that it IS just a creepy-looking doll with absolutely no backstory. But it's a creepy-looking doll that I like. I would totally buy a plushie of it.

 

I'm not sure what the Tails Doll would be doing in a sonic game's storyline... must be stopped from coming out of TV screens and killing people?

But serious now. Bonus character, I guess.

You know what character I'd like to see again? Metal Sonic.

 

I have come to the conclusion that he should be hidden away in every level of the next Sonic game, and finding all of them unlocks a funny video including the Tails Doll.

Think like the secret videos in Unleashed.

 

If they ever add a tails-counterpart in a future Sonic game they'll probably just have "Metal Tails" instead of bringing Tails Doll back

 

I never thought that Tails Doll was a creation of Robotnik's though...why does it have to be?

Even Omochao, an actual robot, probably isn't. Then again, it could have been built by Robotnik to drive Sonic absolutely mental.

 

He had a fair share of recent appearances in Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics and the Rivals-games, actually...

I must be one of the few people who never viewed Omochao as a bain in the game, I quite liked the guy. He's got more personality than a glowing bubble or star that tells you what to do.

as far as Tails doll is concerned though, I did a collab a while back that I think perfectally displays my view and always will lol

 

Sonic R was one of the best Sonic games ever in hindsight. And much like everything that has was totally badass and made out of house (made by Traveler's Tales, who I'm not going to say much for since they also made that turd 3D Blast) it's going to be ignored until the end of time.

That said, OF COURSE TAILS DOLL SHOULD RETURN!!!! Under the circumstance that it continues it's roll as a creepy voiceless and mindless robot. No super lame back story making it the main villian, and no strange T-1000 powers like the ones they ruined Metal Sonic with.

 

I recommend this guy to be promoted to member immediately. and DEMAND he send that image to SEGA.

 

I don't remember the glowing bubble telling me that pressing up makes me run forward.

However the glowing bubble couldn't be hurled at enemies, though it was much easier to avoid.
