Because I edited the intro to fit the S1->S2 transitions cutscene and did not bother to resynch it overall because it does not make any difference for its intended use. No, I just didn't bother to remove them as it would not save any space. Cinossu once started doing that, but it never went forward because of lack of time.

I have two questions: Did Cinossu ever make a prototype or mock-up of the updated ending medley? Also, if Amy and Knuckles get two sets of sprites, perhaps could Sonic be given a sprite set closer to Sonic 1/2/CD?

Now I see what you're getting at. I didn't know that tool existed. Thanks. I think the problem of the end credits dragging out could be resolved by pressing a button to skip the credits. Perhaps starting a finished save file at Game Complete could give you the credits like what Sonic 3 does?
I got admit, this looks a lot better than what we started out with those many weeks ago. Good job. I'm sure that Lila can be fixed if we mess with the colors a bit more
