I remember seeing the metropolis and the labyrinth ones finished somewhere...but can't remember where...
Well, you could just not vote. Besides, it's up to the illustrator anyway if he wants to do it. Why try to take it away from others before it even has a chance?
Sonic VS. Knuckles, hands down, no contest. That art could easily work as cover-art for a Sonic 3 Complete.
The Metropolis one looks familiar to me too. May have been just a similar artwork though. Still, voted for the S&K one. Rest in peace Greg Martin
Might look familiar because it's been inspired by that piece of concept art Tom Payne sent me, back when we met.
Yeah, looks like S&K is going to be the far and away winner. Even people off the site are looking at that one. It'd be a great replacement cover for the boxes of S&K which are either decaying or destroyed. (S&K carts can fit in standard Genesis cases, albeit snugly. You just needto remove two border prongs inside.)
May I ask why the Labyrinth artwork is on the list while it's colored? :v: It's more complete than the other two that are listed. But I think I'll go with the Sonic & Knuckles artwork. I like all three but this one is the best IMO.
Yeah, I don't understand the question here, if they need to be inked and coloured (in the case of no3 traced inked and coloured), why not just do them all, why choose at all? I do like the two sketches, I'm not super confident I could colour to Martin's standard, but I could certainly ink both of em, inking's a doddle lol
I mean nothings stopping any one from finishing any one of these, it's more just a quick poll asking which one people would like to be finished more/first
Well seeing as how the US box art had no dark outlines anyway, I don't think it makes much of a difference. Looks pretty good to me though.
Sonic vs. Knuckles all the way. Like others said, it'll look great as a replacement cover for S&K or as a cover for S3 Complete.
To me it looks like Sonic and Knuckles are just skanking, which feels appropriate considering the music fads of the era. Still, an alternate, authentic Sonic & Knuckles boxart in line with the other three games would be intriguing to see fully-realized.
