Fang is named after, well, the fang that hangs out of the side of his mouth. As for Vector, there has to be some meaning or reasoning to his name. Who would randomly name a character Vector? On Topic, I can defititely see cubot as sort of a dimwitted "sidekick" of sorts to orbot, or a less intelligent counter part.
Well, hurray for really interesting looking co-op stages. Yet another reason to get this game. Still doesn't allay my general ingrained skepticism against buying Sonic games, but I guess it's worth a try.
lots of characters have fangs though. In any case, typing fang was a force of habit actually, I meant NACK, the US name. Also, Elisa. And Tikal. And Shahra. If I had to wager a guess as to what he does, I'd think he'd be almost like an anti-rocket. Essentially the stomp move from Sonic Unleashed which let Sonic bust through the ground in certain areas.
Yeah, I think I'm actually inclined to believing him. I didn't like the DIMPs 2D games all that much. Well, not the Rush ones anyways. The Advance games were okay.
Presuming he's referring to the modern 2D games here as opposed to the classics, he might be right (if he's including the classics in his statement, then I'm afraid he's absolutely wrong). In any case, so far, Sega seems to be onto a winner with this game.
It's in reference to his to his double jump in Chaotix. IIRC he could thrust himself in any direction in a straight line.
Sonic Colors certainly is exciting. I find it strange that he makes this comment after his last one about Colors being restricted for 7-12 year olds. Perhaps a subtle commentary on what made the original games great also belonging in Colors, or just a gaffy statement? If Colors ends up being as fun as when I first played the original Sonic the Hedgehog games, then it could conceivably be better than them. We'll see.
Was he named "Vector" then? One thing I noticed, is that each wisp's shape and form sort of reflects what its ability is: 1. Drill wisp is triangular with a stripe winding around it, and it is a drill 2. Cyan looks something that of a lightning bolt, and it is a very fast-moving laser 3. Green is a bubble like thing, and it allows Sonic to float in the air 4. Pink is spiky, and thus makes Sonic spikier, and sticks to walls 5. Orange looks like a rocket, and well, turns Sonic into a rocket 6. Red, looks like a flame, and thus turns Sonic into a fireball The only exception is the white wisp. Taking from the given picture of the blue wisp, it seems to me it may be an aquatic/submarinal powerup, due to its propeller-like tentacles, and the fact that there hasn't really been a wisp seen that pertains to the underwater aspect of the game, (besides a mentioned secondary effect of the Drill Wisp). Perhaps, it propells Sonic up to (or even above) the surface of underwater areas? As for the Purple wisp, I can't help but get a "phantom" vibe from that one.
