I am able to test, too. I have a model 1 American NTSC MegaDrive with TMSS, no MegaCD nor Super 32X. No modifications were made to it. It is possible I may obtain a Model 2 MegaCD sometime soon, if I can get the money to get one. Maybe, a 32X in the distant future. As for peripherals, I only have 1 standard 3 button controller, nothing else, but in the future, I may get more peripherals. I also have an regular (not Mega) Everdrive v3, but sometime in the future, I may switch to the Mega Everdrive v2.
I get the odd occasional PM like once every 6 months. Sometimes more frequent on IRC (whenever I log onto that). But that's about it.
I got a Everdrive MD v3 a few months ago and it has been working flawlessly since day one. I have 2 Model 1 Sega Genesis Consoles that are both TMSS enabled, a VA0 32X, and I have both 6-button and 3-button controllers to use in testing.
I don't know if I can say this, considering the circumstances it has been leaked, but I tested the Yoshi in Sonic 2 hack in my Mega Everdrive and it crashes past the title screen, both when trying to load the demo mode and the real game. Just for info, if xenowhirl is around here and can see it.
I got a Mega Everdrive X7 recently, can test out any rom hacks etc if needed. Only one I've tried that didn't boot at all was The Radikal Ralakimus Hack Pack. Maybe that was too complicated for it?
I have a Mega Everdrive v2 and two Genesises (Genesii?). I have a Model 1 Genesis with a Power Base Converter and a Model 2 Genesis with a Model 2 Sega CD + 32X.
I wanted to post here in case anyone wants something sound tested on a specific console. I have been collecting and examining sound and audio differences among the variant Model 1's and Model 2's, and have Everdrives. My hardware is listed in my signature.
I now own a 32X, and my flash cart does support that, so if any of you need 32X testing, I'm here. I'll go ahead and repeat the other things I have: - Model 1 US Genesis w/ TMSS (Doesn't have "High Definition Graphics" on it) - Model 2 US Genesis - 3 button controller - 6 button controller - Everdrive MD v3 (Will be looking to upgrade to a Mega Everdrive X7 in the future) EDIT: 6 button controller crapped out on me >_>
A two year+ bump, but I have a working ROM set of Sonic the Fighters, finally.: Also have an EPROM burner, eraser, and two reprogrammable ROM chips on the way for hacking just the "program" roms.
Just wanted to mention here that i'm not able to progress in Robotniks revenge on hardware, it crashes when entering about 3-4 bosses in, cant remember exactly but happens every time. EDIT: I can test on combinations of Model 1, Mega Drive VA6, Genesis VA1, Mega Drive 2, Sega CD.
I have a few systems available --32x NTSC Model MK-84000 VA0 --Sega Genesis Model 1 TMSS (1601) VA6.x (traces for EXT port and components, closed back) (Not sure if it applies yet?) --Sega Dreamcast Model HKT-3020 (1) NTSC (U) VA1 (Can edit if needed i suppose)
would be happy to join in for some testing with my setup. I'm running a PAL Mega Drive model 1 VA4 that has been set to NTSC mode.
I can. I have a model 1 genesis (hd graphics one, NTSC I believe) with a mega everdrive x7 on the newest firmware
I have various pieces of hardware I can test on. I am gradually collecting flash cartridges for more systems so this list will grow. I have: All USA Sega hardware: Genesis model 1 non-TMSS Genesis model 1 TMSS Genesis model 2 Genesis 3 Nomad 32X Sega CD Model 2 Everdrive MD 2.x from StoneAgeGamer from 2011. Plays Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega Master System and 32X. Is less picky than the Mega SD about SMS headers. Terraonion Mega SD bought from StoneAgeGamer with updated firmware as of 2021. Plays Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega Master System, 32X and Sega CD as an FPGA on a Genesis without CD unit attached. Had trouble with some SMS headers from the Goodset roms. I had to replace my Double Dragon rom with one from No-Intro. Game Gear modded with new capacitors, McWill screen and VGA output Everdrive GG X7 from StoneAgeGamer from 2021. Plays Game Gear and Sega Master System. Sega Saturn model 2 with modchip that can play burned discs. Could be useful for anyone trying to make anything related to Sonic X-Treme or modify Sonic R, Jam or 3D Blast. Dreamcast - two earlier revisions that can both play burned discs. Other modded USA hardware that had Sonic games that could run burned copies of hacks/mods: Gamecube with XenoGC modchip Wii (softmodded) - haven't tried running any Wii backups yet but could Wii U (softmodded) - haven't tried running any Wii U backups yet but could Game Boy Advance with EZ Flash IV flash cartridge Nintendo DS with R4i flash cartridge 3DS (softmodded, has Twilight Menu+ and can test Nintendo DS games from SD card or GBA games converted to virtual console format) Xbox (modded by a store in 2004. at the very least soft modded but could also be modchipped) Xbox 360 slim (RGH modded, could run hacked games off external hard drive) Playstation 2 (modchipped) PSP (cfw) I think the next thing I want to do is send in my model 1 Sega Saturn with a dead disc drive and have a MODE installed in it. An optical disc emulator that replaces the optical drive with an SD and hard drive connection.
I have a NTSC Japanese model 2 Saturn with a Satiator ODE. I also have a Model 1+2 US Saturn and one of those white Japanese model 2 ones. I'll have to get my other Saturn's out of storage, but they should all be fairly the same.
I have an unmodified PAL MegaDrive with v3 cart, PAL Saturn and PAL Dreamcast (with VMU). Happy to help if I can!
