He does in every water surface that is not an object (I.e. the out-of-bounds waters of Emerald Coast). So these had to be hard-coded. The others that are an object are just set to 'solid,' so Super Sonic can just hover above them smoothly.

Also, while on this subject, I found out that Fraps brakes the hack in the most inimaginable ways possible :S But I figured out that if you press Ctrl+Alt+Del to go to the Task Manager, and set Fraps priority to low and CPU affinity to only one thread, this somewhat solves some of the problems :p

While this is cool, Super Sonic can't do a lot of Sonic' auto events.

Just spent an evening blitzing through Adventure Mode on a freshly-installed game/file in order to try this out (I'm far too honest to save-scum in any game).

For the first time in a decade, that Emerald Coast sequence where you run away from the killer whale was cool again. Super Sonic didn't even stop dead and/or get caught on anything during it!

It's 'missing content' hacks like these that deserve to be inserted into official rereleases, like the upcoming XBLA version. We can dream, right?

    :( Why?

Anyway this is cool. Now if only my PC could run a pirate of this game. >.<

Mostly cause there aren't usually 50 rings in an adventure field :V

Well technically an infinite number of rings are in Station Square and the outside of the Egg Carrier (light dash paths), but none inside the Egg Carrier or in Mystic Ruins.

    Edit: New page lol

As I said earlier, I used the ring dash to collect 50 rings outside of Casinopolis, just to test whether you actually couldn't go super. I'm not sure why you can't though.

    All the bitches.

If you can't run the PC version of SADX then your PC must be from 1998. The game has really, really, really low specs.

This mod is the very reason I will buy SADX for the PC.

    Superb job you did there.

I've given the wiki page a meaty update, based on my attempts to break the gameplay in as many ways as possible. The effect I got when trying to use Super on the Casinopolis pinball tables was quite a nice surprise! + - ...Until I went up the ramp on the NiGHTS board and got stuck in an infinite camera loop.

  11. It glitched and crashed. thats not a nice suprise :(

When do we get Super SADC?

As in Dreamcast. Don't have Windows, so I'm much more interested in seeing the Dreamcast or Gamecube version of Sonic Adventure hacked.

The Dreamcast version is very far behind the PC version in hacking, and I don't think any of us (SADX hackers) know SH-4 assembly.
The GameCube version may never be hacked, I've tried, but I can't figure out anything.
