I'm not even sure this is the right place to be asking this, but anyway...

Way back in the day (I'm talking 2002/2003, so my memory might be a little hazy here and there), Sega had a promotional website for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I'm pretty sure is was entirely done in Flash/Shockwave. One of the site's main features was a (more or less) complete look at all Sonic games that had been released by then, showing its box art, screenshots as well as a short description. I seem to recall it had Green Hill Zone's music playing in a short loop while looking at that section. I guess this was all related to Sonic's tenth anniversary at the time? The site opened with a choppy animation zooming in on Shadow's eye.

Some digging using Archive.org sadly did not uncover the site itself, but at least it allowed me to locate where it used to be located:

Seeing how I wasn't able to get it through Archive.org I'm afraid this might be lost forever, but I figured it might be worth asking here before giving up. I'd love to see it back, so if anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

I used to go there all the time just to look at it (That and the Sonic Adventure website, and TJ&E3 when it came along).

I do hope someone saved these as I was anal about saving entire website layouts back then.

What you're talking about sounds more and more like Sonic Central, which you can see here: http://wayback.archive.org/web/20050301010201/http://www.sega.com/sonic/content.php
On the other hand, there's this: http://wayback.archive.org/web/20020606053859/http://www.sega.com/games/post_gamegame.jhtml?PRODID=841

    Problem solved maybe?

It's definitely not Sonic Central. It's what would open if you'd click the official game website image at your second link that I want. Archive.org doesn't seem to have it.

EDIT: Done a little digging and managed to come up with this: http://web.archive.org/web/20020613001207/http://score.sega.com/games/sonic2battle/

Clicking 'Official game site' loads the page, but sadly the SWF file was never archived, so now we're looking for _sonic_2_battle.swf
