Got my tracking number yesterday afternoon, holllleeee shit that all looks fantastic. This book can't get here soon enough!

 

I haven't bought it yet.

Btw, those scans are too big, or, at leat, they appear that way on my computer. Can you scale them?

Just the Sonic Chaos artwork on one page, and the Spinball one with the MD version on another.

 

I just noticed that on one of those Eggman sketches it gives him the year he was born which is 1931. I wonder why that particular year.

 

Probably chose 1931 as a birthdate for Eggman to make him an even 60 years old at the time of Sonic 1.

 

Sonic Crackers page! Sonic doing Mighty's wallkick is obvious, but note that those vines might have made it into Chaotix.

 

Wasn't there a phone card which said that Sonic was born in 1954 or 1964 or something like that?

The original game story was that Sonic etal were supposed to come from a test pilot legend, so I am sure the dates have something to do with that.

I'm not sure if there's a phonecard. The closes thing I can think of is the tag that came with SegaSonic clothing line which mentions he was born in 1947 but made for the 90s.

Obviously that particular year is mentioned in the Mary Garnett story so maybe Eggman's birth year is supposed to link to that.

Sonic Team seemed to like that story enough that they made jackets resembling the one the pilot had in the story during the development of Sonic 3 so I don't doubt it.

 

I find that impossible, there's nary a gray hair in his moustache. :v:

Surprise twist. R2 never existed. They made all the R2 concept art after Sonic CD came out for the purpose of trolling us years later.
