Reversed Sonic Music!

Holy shit, the reversed melody sounds nothing like the original one, it actually sounds a pretty nifty song for a staff roll.

 

Yeah, this must be done.

I love how songs plays backward xD...The most of the time they sound awesome! xD

 

I believe some of the Sonic 3d Blast tunes might sound great backwards, since some of the music is a little more subtle.

Is there no way to reverse the notation, and/or literally play it backwards in the emus?
It's a pet peeve, but I really can't stand "ssssnnnnnnuRFFF" drums.

 

Well you could disable the Yamaha chip, and PSG in your emulator(if you have Gens or Gens +), record just the DAC, then record the song you want to play backwards with the DAC disabled, open up your audio editing software, play the music backwards, and copy and paste the DAC over the reversed song. xP

 

That would just result in mismatched drums, wouldn't it?

The real way to do it would be to reverse the actual DAC instrument, and then record normally. Sure, you'll now have the "suck" drums when played forwards, but it'd sound proper (for the most part) backwards.

There's a similarity, but just barely. I think it's a case of association and coincidence instead of being done on purpose.
