You're not the only one that hates it. I got it a lot. Especially when I used my Gameshark SP incorrectly.
You don't wanna hear it, trust me. A good way I've found to get the noise is to have a GBA game in your GBA SP and with the power on, squeeze the GBA SP as hard as you can close to the cartridge connector. That's the best way I was able to get it. You'll know it when you hear it as it is very distinctive as Supakitsune said.

I can't believe you actually enjoyed hearing that. When it happens randomly it scares the shit out of me.
Yeah, that was pretty tame compared to the screech when the SEGA sound in Sonic 1 gets shifted past $80000.
Whenever I heard that sound, I feared either my GBASP or game was permanently fucked up. Luckily, that wasn't the case, but it startled me whenever I heard it.
That sound is scarier than Giygas ever was... but it's got nothing on the GBC's through headphones at full volume when the game is silent.
I've got a better crashing noise for the SP. Clicky. It's basically that, but repeating over and over again. Had it once, had to record it.
That's the crashing noise we've been talking about. (or at least I have anyway) Thanks for the higher quality rip though. No offense to Toasty on her efforts. She did a nice job.
xD The static sound never scared me, my cousin and I would pull our games out of our GBA's just to hear it sometimes. Speaking of which, I need to find my Ruby version I lost it.
Oh. I didn't even recognize it as being the same. I mean, it was a glitchy crash noise, but still sounded different. :v:
I remember the time my friend plugged his DS lite into his surround sound in the middle of the night... You can probably guess what happened. He pulled Pokemon Emerald out from it and I think I shit my pants.
