It's like a Saturday morning cartoon... until you read the original premise of the arcade game where Death Adder has slaughtered the heroes' friends and family and they're all out for desperate revenge.
I'm more interested in the tonal dissonance this will make when it's put next to that Golden Axe game SEGA announced last year.
You'd have thought Sega would have learnt their lesson about taking care with licensing out properties after the Paramount fiasco with Sonic on the first trailer. It seems that the outcry and Tyson Hesse pulling their arses out of the fire, and turning a train wreck into something merely un-Sonic but financially rewarding, has averted the lesson being taught.
This doesn't have to be horrible, but is hoping that it manages to be more than the usual bug-eyed western "adult" animation sloppa futile?
I'm reminded of this ancient series that was shown during the old Good Game tv show in Australia, unofficially featuring Gilius Thunderhead as a recurring character.
