http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QddO-hKItAI Her armlets and anklets change based on her direction as well. :D Something I really hope Strife will do for an update or for Freedom Planet 2. :specialed:
The Sonic sprite and background look great, I agree it looks like there should be something between the mountains and the forest; or maybe just add in the tops of trees rather than a flat line? Not sure what to suggest but it looks gorgeous regardless.
Tileset redone by @DarkVampireDee Background mountains redone by me (still not done though. Wanna touch up the mountains and fix the grass on the edges of the tileset!)
This looks absolutely gorgeous. The addition of the treetops has definitely solved the issue of the line dividing the trees and mountain in the background.
Here's something to show off. Currently working with Ay Jay on this project of his. We went through some major changes and I'm glad with the results.
Just as DVD said, this Zone went through a major change. It's tileset changed completely, it's basicly a new Zone. I was a bit resitant at first, seeing how much effort went into the first tileset, but the results more than make up for it. Hope everyone likes it. This is the first Zone of Sonic Neo Adventure, Silver Shrine Zone.
That is one gorgeous looking tileset. The palette perfectly stands out, and I'm loving some of the eyecandy. Like the echidna statue. And it's nice to avert having the traditional Green Hill Zone clone as the first level once in a while.
I generally feel like blurry effects don't mix well with small pixelated sprites. Maybe the light rays would fit better if they were flat instead of being a gradient. Otherwise, it looks really nice.
Was more of a test in photoshop, never planned to use them in game. Here's the pic without them: Also changed the flowers, and a improved palette by @MrLange
The background wall is a updated fixed version from the old scrap Grassy Slope. The tiles gotten updated as well with a few additions. Thanks to Ay Jay for setting the tiles basic (which I provided the materials)
@DarkVDee Looking fantastic! The details are very amazing to look at. Loving the fact you guys are using Shinb's sprites for the characters. Made me sad when I learned he passed away. He was a good friend of mine back at MFZ. @Violet Wow, that's smooth. I really like the 3D feel it has.
