The Chicago show was definitely loud in the second half. Not having some kind of earplugs was definitely a mistake on my end. However, that show also had really good acoustics. As others have said, just bring some kind of protection if you're ever unsure.
Word. I was really hoping they'd visit Mexico next year, since they visited Brazil this year. Oh well.
It does suck, they didn't do more international dates. Shota Nakama did say to reply to MGP's tweet with locations that you want them to go. Mexico, Spain and Argentina have been some countries that have a big Sonic fan community so I hope they get some dates.
Shoto Nakama is asking for input on which of these four songs to put in the show: - Find Your Flame - I'm Here - With Me - E.G.G.M.A.N. I know it sounds like a non-answer but honestly if it was up to me I'd swap Break Through It All with Find Your Flame and then probably go for E.G.G.M.A.N. or With Me.
God, I really hope we get symphonic rock rendition of E.G.G.M.A.N. at the Paris show. I’ll take the others too, but I don’t want to lose Break Through It All either.
Why are so many locations in America? Some of them are close enough that it would have been a better choice to put some in other countries.
E.G.G.M.A.N. easily. I'd take With Me as a second choice though. (None of the Frontiers songs do it for me.)
I still need a second recording of the symphony credits to compare to Sally's recording if anyone is up to that.
We're at intermission right now. I love the show, and they showed 3 brand new arrangements which were great and I won't spoil. That said, I'm a little...actually very disappointed in the vibe of the show. If I go to a symphony, I'm expecting something classier and quieter than your normal rock concert. If you go to a movie, or a play, or a symphony at your local college, you're expected to shush and only applaud when it's over or there's a pause. Here, damn near every time anything interesting happens onscreen, there's an onslaught of cheering or laughter. I don't understand. Is it out of solidarity with your fellow Sonic fans or have social standards gone out the window? It gets in the way of enjoying the music. The arrangement of Believe In Myself/It Doesn't Matter was very moving when it was first livestreamed, but the mood is ruined when everyone is cheering so loudly I can barely hear the music. There's also a lot of people recording and taking photos during the concert, despite being explicitly told not to do that. Very annoying. The people in this venue are acting like children. Or maybe I'm just a grumpy old man.
