SEASIDE HILL DOESN'T DIE, IT MULTIPLIES!! They'll likely not go in the water like Transformed, so this an especially downgraded version of a track. Remix is okay.
Oh nice to have Richard Jacques again. Love the fact it's not just a remix of You Can do Anything, but as well it's a remix of Sonic and All-Star Racing: Transformed version. Very neat. Anyone think Falk did some music with Jun in this game as well? Since he was called to do some songs in Encore Mode in Sonic Mania Plus. I think it wouldn't be fair calling just Tee Lopes, Falk Au Yeong is PRETTY great as well.
I'm confused, wasn't seaside hill already in the game? Tracks can have multiple themes now? 'Cause that would be pretty neat.
I don't have a link to the specific article, but it's been confirmed that there are 21 tracks across 7 zones (with 4 retro tracks, I think). So there's basically three acts per zone. Ocean View and Whale Lagoon are both in Seaside Hill and are returning from the ASR games, Sand Hill and Boo's House are both in whatever desert zone, Market Street and the suspended glass road (in the CG trailer, which is presumably a level) are both in Rooftop Run. We've also seen a Cool Edge track and Planet Wisp, so that's five of seven zones.
I feel like I should love that remix, since the original track comes from my favorite Sonic game but... meh. Not gonna make me buy the game, specially being a track for effing Seaside Hill. PS: I hope they're secretly working on an all-Classic Sonic R sequel without any circuits based on Modern Sonic's antics, with lots of Tee Lopes remixes and little to no Jun Senoue.
I liked the original Ocean View track, but this remix doesn't quite do it for me. It feels like the song actually loses energy after the first 25 seconds of buildup, then FINALLY picks up at the 50 second mark.
Jun and Richard styles didn't blend well. The old FX-ridden song helped conceal the weaknesses of a the synths used as lead instruments, this feels barebones compared the All Stars Racing version. The bass is also lacking a lot of power, sadly. The nice support guitars and drum make the synths sound bland and uninteresting, too. I'd like a full Jun Senoue remix.
This post from November still stands today. Anyone else worried about the gameplay? Though I am not sure why I'm even bothering to post as I'm not going to buy it anyway, and they won't be releasing a purchasable OST either, they never do outside of Japan.
Well, they do release the OSTs through Google Play and iTunes. The Sonic Forces soundtrack is also available on the Sega shop, but only because people were really vocal about that one. So if people are vocal about this being available for the West I'm sure they'll make something happen.
Um, your last bit contradicts itself. There will likely be a physical OST and hopefully a digital one.
It will most likely have a soundtrack released released physically/digitally, and then launched on streaming services like Spotify a little later.
Metal Sonic, Eggman & Zavok join the line-up. https://twitter.com/sonic_hedgehog/status/1085220454468472832 SEGA really likes re-using Zavok, huh
On the one hand, I really don't like the choice of Zavok. But on the other hand, who else would they have used? The only ones who could maybe work that I can think of were either Chaos or an Egg Robo. I don't know if those would have been any better, really. Well, I guess Infinite. But I think they want to pretend that Forces didn't happen.
Should we just call the Zeti "Koopalings" at this point? As for better choices for a 3rd team Eggman member: Orbot & Cubot Evil Billy Hatcher ...Okay, I give. There ain't much of a pool of badniks for Robotnik to pull from. It's either this or an Eggpawn since they haven't decided if Infinite is dead or not.
I also was thinking of Orbot & Cubot. Chaos might have worked too as he's kind of a fan favorite. Otherwise idk, Heavy King? Bring Fang back? But nope. Fucking Zavok. Again. Why do they keep trying to make the Zeti work they don't. Not Bowser and his Not Kooplings are from a game most people try to forget, and they keep showing up. Even Sega themselves must know that Lost World was received as mediocre at best. Fucking stop.
Classic dimension only so they're off the table unless they announce a team Classic. Eggman Nega is well....lazy. Captain Whiskers is dead. Mephiles ain't happening. Dark Gaia minion makes no sense. Black Arms are all dead. Shadow android is also lazy (and technically just another Metal Sonic). Okay, I'd legit like to see Black Doom back just for his sweet Dr. Claw voice.
