Rare Sonic Art (And restoring it)

In the first Riders game, Jet constantly went on about how Sonic couldn't fly without wings. He doesn't have any either! Wings would have made the Babylonians look much more like birds. Only Rouge, Charmy and Chip have them IIRC. Jet and co would look much more interesting with them.

 

I've seen this picture of Sonic a few times (t shirts mainly), but this is the first time I've seen it with SA shading. Anyone know if a clear vector version exists or not?

Has anyone else seen this pic before? I only know a few people that have. I scanned it from my Sonic 1 and 2 Official Player's Guide.

Is there any way that someone here on Retro could get the new hi-res artwork of the "group" cast of Sonic CD. It is the art used for the PC box in Japan and it seems that now it is used in the recent splash of Sonic CD as the Demo icon with the "group" picture infront of a nice blue checkerboard background.

I would love to get the hi-res version of this and it would make a great wallpaper... This has always been my favorite illustration of Sonic the Hedgehog.

You're not doing them right. The "File:[filename.extension]" stuff is just an HTML page, not an actual image file. Ya oughta click on the images to get an embeddable image URL.
