Sonic Unleashed

I don't think you need gold for DLC, just microsoft points. I think Gold only covers online multiplayer play. Silver covers eveything else, except they have to wait an extra week to download Demo's.

Some demos (and anything else they feel like) are sometimes gold only for their first week or so.

 

Gold members get every demo on Xbox Live 1 week earlier then Silver members.

 

Yeah, this is downloadable by everyone, so go on ahead. I just S-Ranked all the levels myself.

 

Well, I cleaned the disc off and everything seems to be working just fine now. Went ahead and S-ranked the stages as well.

Acts 2-2 and 5 are probably my favotites. The Werehog's new act was pretty cool as well.

 

Act 2-2 gets special praise for being better than the original Act 2, however the original Act 2 might have just been the worst level in the whole game. Act 5 was awesome, Act 4 wasn't too bad. Act 1-1 wasn't as impossibly unfair as Chun-nan's was.

I just got all rank S's too. Sucks though, now I have to wait 2 more weeks for another challenge D: I know it probably won't happen, but I'd really like to see a new level (Like as in a whole new area). This game severely lacks a Casino level (I think that the Day/Night thing would have to be eliminated though for that level. Come on, Casino Day? Shit sucks)

 

In Spagonia Day act 5 when you fall you can still see Sonic running when he hits the ground.

Seriously? Well I did not get this in America, so I guess I will have to wait. I will be awaiting its release.

Also, what exactly does the patch do? Is it an equivalent to the Xbox 360 patch?

 

So has anyone else had the X button stop working altogether during a level? It happens to me in Chun-Nan Act 1, right after one of the first checkpoints (you bounce up off a spring, go through a hoop, hit another spring, and have to Homing Attack some Spinners). It will also happen later on in the level, after the second rotating platforms bit. X button just stops responding. Then I die, come back, and it works fine.

 

Oh, so I'm not the only one having this problem. Nice to know. It's like the game gets overwhelmed with what's going on and can't register another button press. The only way to overcome at the location in Dragon Road that you specified is to take your thumb of the analog stick. At other points in the game, it can be even less fair. Quite often when you're boosting two button presses (quick step is the main contender) in quick succession won't be recognised which led to many deaths in the "Find Yasmine" mission.

 

I don't know, I heard someone say it while lurking on the Sonic Stadium forums. Looks like someone else there also got the patch too.

 

I never got a patch for a ps3 game so I have no idea when it does it. But when I booted up unleashed today it gave a message that it was reinstalling trophies, so I think I have it.

I played Adabat and had no lag at all hardly the first pillar that falls down in the water it dropped to like 30 fps, but I had no lag on the second pillar, or anywhere else, So I'm, assuming there was some patch.

 

Does the frame rate remain at a constant 60fps everywhere else?

 

I just booted the game and I did not get any update prompt, or trophy message.

 

Seems like from 50-60fps or so to me.

 

Does this mean the hubs are finally playable? Especially Empire City which was horrible on the PS3, but apparently on the 360 also.

The PS3 downloads updates as soon as it loads the game (as in, it goes past the Playstation 3 game launch animation sequence before booting into the main game). I think Jimmy was experiencing the trophy syncing most PS3 games have been doing recently, which occurs usually at Title Screens or shortly before or after loading up a saved game. I think that's what Jimmy's experiencing anyway. It's been doing this before I press start at the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection title screen, so I figured this was the same deal. Correct me if I'm wrong though, since I don't have the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed.

As far as I know, Sega hasn't released any patches or DLC for the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed (US) yet. I'll look into it further.

 

I can confirm the EU PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed has got a patch updating it to v1.02. I'm installing it as I type this. Still no DLC though.

 

Since you say you are installing a patch, I will check my game once more today.
