Texture Rips from SA2B?

    Hello. I think this is the right place for this sort of thing.

    Anyway, I was wondering if somone could point me in the direction for some texture rips of Green Hill from SA2B.

    I'm working on developing a map for the Source engine, and think these textures would fit perfectly with some alterations.

    No, this would go in the Engineering & Reverse Engineering. But you can rip the textures from SA2/SA2B, but I'm not sure what the texture formats are. I think there the .prs .rel or .GVP files on the disc.

    Okay. Would someone like to take me though the steps to do so?

    Obviously, I'll need the rom.

    For ripping textures from SA2B. You need GCTool, a .prs decompressor, and PuyoTools. Using those, you can rip the .gvm file format into a usable png image.

    Alright, I tried this. However, when attempting to extract the iso, I get the follwoing erro from gctools.

    But alas, my desired Green Hill textures are not there. Has no one on the vast interweb ripped these already?

    I have alot of textures on my computer. I didn't ripped those, and I don't know where I got them, but here they are.

    Actually, the rolling graphic is still the old Sonic Adventure model. They never changed that.
     
  13. By the way, I somehow have all the SA2 textures on my HDD (not the GameCube version, though). It's a bit too large to upload in its entirety, but if anyone needs a certain set of textures not on Spriter's Resource, just ask.
