Spoiler Thread - SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS (SPOILERS!... Obviously.)

I've seen a screenshot of the options menus for both games but i just now realized that Sonic Generations doesn't have a performance mode for consoles but Shadow Generations does.

 

I just want to add here, yes, that is more accurate to what happened - not randomly, but Shadow did not remember his promise to either Gerald or Maria prior to the Chaotix cutscene; most of the reveals are news to him after the Last Way. In the second confrontation with Black Doom, he learns of his purpose that Gerald and Maria had for him, but not in the first confrontation. In that cutscene, Black Doom approached him, Team Sonic confronted both of them, Black Doom revealed the nature of Gerald's involvement with him and described his true intended purpose through the lens of his unreliable narration (which usually is the catalyst for Shadow to switch sides) and then does the whole "Now, remember what the humans did to you... and you were the one who was born" thing, with shadow presumably being inflicted by flashbacks Doom incited. (by reusing voice clips from noncanon routes whoops lmfao)

Again, that usually results in Shadow switching sides, but here Shadow responds to the memory of a cry from help from Maria, and completely pivots to him kicking Black Doom's ass and saving the world "of his own volition". He didn't need to remember the specifics there, he was simply able to realize what was right even in spite of the vast amount of appeals to his trauma and "purpose" being thrown front of him. To me it's a scene almost as good as SA2's saving Rouge scene, or 06's "I will fight like I always have", because they're all making use of the same strength in character that Shadow can realize while overcoming everything presented to him in opposition to this.

Unfortunately the video cuts right before going into some original level design so not much to say about it lol

It's weird, because the video I posted was (apparently) on Switch too (the indicative was the "ZR" button on the boost), and doesn't look lagged as this...

Probably different sources sharing a video, I dunno.

 

I just got a reward called seriously likeable and I audibly laughed.

But what I think was being said is that that switch leak is faked

 

That's very clearly not the actual game running. The upload is just dogshit.

Either way we’ll know by next week before the physical release day

Well, it's just a matter of time now until we get "proper" leaks and a Switch ROM.

Those two have had quite a fascinating beef.

Sonicas0 also claimed that the boss fight against Mephiles has a completely original boss theme with only faint traces of his '06 theme, but MSROPls retaliated by insisting that it actually has just a straightforward remix of the '06 track instead.

 

I mean one of them is clearly lying. This happens with every set of leaks for every game across every series, lots of people make up lies. Sorting out which of them are lying is a fool's errand, it's easiest to just not believe anything that does not come with incontrovertible proof that it's not some loser looking for 15 minutes of fame.
