I could donate my Generic Garden Zone, but I'm sick of seeing and working on it so much I'd only give it if someone else finished the tile sheet. :|

 

I quite like the 'XXX Zone screen' shot.

Also, kudos for the new badnik. Does it just roam around and shoot them balls at you?

 

Pretty ace. Please tell me this didn't replace the GHZ-styled level though? =(

 

Well if it doesn't come to good use, I would like to something good happen with it. It's my favorite checkered design in any Sonic media so far (fanmade or official).

 

I think Sonic games, fan or official, have had enough Green Hill Zones.

Nice tracks! I love the title card and invincibility themes. The act cleared theme sounds pretty sweet, too -- light, yet very triumphant. Speed Shoes sounded a tad too happy and repetitive IMO, but I guess it works; then again, any time I think of alternate Speed Shoes music, I think of the Speed Shoes theme from Sonic 2: Advanced Edit. Yours does have a bit of a racing vibe to it, though.

Overall, I think it's awesome that you're doing some original chiptunes for your game. Sounds great!

 

The main theme reminds me of a classical song, but I can't quite put my finger on in. I want to say Pachelbel's canon, but I'm fairly sure that's wrong.

 

It is the same chord sequence as Pachelbel's Canon, so that's probably what you're thinking of.

 

Had you heard Green Day's "Basket Case"? :v:

 

Just Canon and BC have very similar chord progressions. But yep, you have the best method; there's no point worrying your song will sound like another, as basically everything has been done already. Just don't rip things off quite obviously like I tend to (not quite intentionally, but still ).
