Nintendo, Microsoft and Toei aren't Sega. And legal problems aside, him saying that you aren't paying him to work for Sonic: Wrath of Nazo while using the fan film to try to get people to support his Patreon is just scummy.
How is it scummy? He likes to make Sonic stuff and is honest about. Do you honestly believe that him putting that trailer in the Patreon page is to trick anyone but Sega's legal team? If anything it's the most straightforward way possible in this scenario to make clear for the audience what the money are for. Sure it's borderline-illegal nobody is arguing that. But scummy? If only towards a SEGA the soulless corporation. And one can't be scummy towards something like that.

Turns out that's not the official Sonic channel. Official channel changed its logo to the 25th anniversary logo, no longer Sonic Boom. I really hate that multiple channels can have the same name.

Can someone explain where this Nazo nonsense came from? I assumed it was just some popular fan character, but it's actually from Sonic X?

They claim it's actually an alternate design for Super Sonic, but I personally don't buy it because of 2:25, where Super Sonic actually appears.
Aside from what S0LV0 said you do remember that we found out a little bit ago that this "Nazo" character was just a different Super Sonic design... I don't like this whole patreon aspect either Tim, but you need to put your focus on that as the source of your annoyance, instead of starting to shit on the actual project itself.
