  1. No Sonic Rush = boo. Rest of it's fine though.

I seem to recall Back 2 Back, Metal Scratchin and What U Need in the 360 version, if you're looking for Sonic Rush music. There's also a small clip using Wrapped in Black (the one used after beating the final boss in Rush) that plays on the post-race screen for the Final Fortress tracks.

From the DS OST, I like:

Be Cool, Be Wild and Be Groovy! (Sonic Adventure)
Can You Feel The Sunshine? (Sonic R)
    E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic Adventure 2)
    Final Egg (Sonic Adventure)
    Final Fortress (Sonic Heroes)
Monkey Island (Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz)
    Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes)
    So Much More (Main Theme)
    Super Sonic Racing (Sonic R)
    Windy and Ripply (Sonic Adventure)

They could have inserted some Sonic Rush songs and some songs from Sonic CD too, but the appearance of som SA/SA2/Sonic R remixes already made my day =P.

Anyway. Download the 2sf rip. (It's so big because the STRM files). You'll find some STRM files named "1 All-Star Move BGM"; "2 All-Star Move BGM", ..., "8 All-Star Move BGM". I wasn't able to identify where those were from. If you know, send me a PM with the correct character assignment.

Er... The lines are ripped from the 1st Shenmue game, but some are beta lines, so they sound a bit weird. Sumo themselves even said it. I mean fuck, they even reused his model from Shenmue passport.

    Fuck. Yes.

Monkey Island alone is worth downloading the soundtrack for, but Super Sonic Racing and E.G.G.M.A.N. make it a must have.

  7. They sound very muted and weird without any emotion (Yeah, that's the dub of Shenmue) so after this post I lowered the music and sound effects, and also subsequently heard some other lines. It sounds like him, but more of the I-Don't-Give-A-Shit aspect of the voice actor's performance.
    Er... thanks.

You know, for such a commercial flop, I'm really surprised that Sumo (And Sega) is embracing the Sonic R soundtrack.

  9. Well, it's the same composer, so that's to be expected.

None of the Sonic tracks have alternate music for their counterpart stages from Heroes? That's a shame. All three were good.

I got the game working with my Acekard + AKAIO 1.5.1 using the Arm 7 patch four hours ago.

I already beat all six cups.

+ - No "epic" final course like Mario Kart's Rainbow Roads. The final course is just an eggman level with very little hazards and extremely easy turns. =S

Oh, and wifi has been working well for me. I tried it out for about an hour. There was no lag in the matches, from what I've experienced. However, I *hatehatehate* the course voting system on free battle; The game randomly picks two courses and the players vote on which course to play. It's not like MKwii, where you can choose a course you want, not what the game wants. Oh well...

Nothing is more disappointing than those five JSRF remixes. What is the intro jingle even supposed to be?

Sixth place goes to E.G.G.M.A.N. remix for omitting the melody.

I've not played online yet, but have been doing trophy runs mostly.

So, here's a stumper: I went through Whale Beach or whatever with Shadow trying to get the no collision one. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit any walls, characters or objects (like sun flowers) and it's not triggering.

No, I am not working on any hack, fanart, or website.
I forgot to mention that whenever I get hit fps drops down to 1, it does that when the game is loading too. Apart from that, it runs perfectly on 60.

Got the game today, it's fuckin' awesome! I played through the 8 or so tracks available by default with my girlfriend a few times then went online and raced for a good while with random people. I can't believe it, I played online and actually had fun! I even made a friend to play with! That's not something that usually happens when I play online! I just hope that people won't find some exploit and fuck up the game.

The music seems to be simply too low compared to other sounds by default; of course, that's subjective, but personally I could hardly hear it at all, so I lowered the sound effects and voice settings.

Just thinking out loud here, since I doubt any gentlemen from Sega will read this.

Know what'd be a fantastic level for DLC for 360 and PS3 bros? A modern re-imagining of Radiant Emerald from Sonic R with appropriate Diamond in the Sky music.

Agreed, so long as it's a re-imagining as you said and not a direct port with upgraded visuals; a few tracks in the game are pretty short, but that would just be WAY too short.

Actually, I just want another Sonic track that's not from Sonic Heroes. I mean, there's 3 Sonic areas and all three of them have 3 tracks each, and they're all from Heroes! What the hell? Give us like... Flying Battery Zone or something, that'd kick ass!

So, I've been playing the PC version. This game is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Most of the music is excellent, the graphics are great, and it plays really well. + - I also like the announcer >_>

Opa-Opa is god tier, by the way.

    Wow, that's... strangely unsurprising.

By the way, am I the only PS3 user here who hasn't figured out how to add a picture to my SEGA License? I assume that on 360, that's where your Mii Avatar would go, but it can't seriously just stay a puke green square on PS3.
