I hadn't any luck with this, but one friend of mine already downloaded it and sent me the requirements:

I'm not impressed with such requirements, but that's good, so most of us will be able to play this.

Also, my friend said that the installer has a bug. It requires 764MB of free disk space, but as you click 'Next' the program will show an error message if the selected drive has less than 7640MB (7,4GB).

It's available at GameSpot too, but download speed is bad for free accounts. Post other download links if you find them.

I saw a screen of it, and admittedly, it wasn't looking too well... But if PC can handle Heroes okay, they have no excuse for Riders looking like shite in the end.

I'll be sure to get this once it's released.

    EDIT: Here is alleged screenshot:

EDIT2: Found a better screen... maybe it was just the shitty GFX card of the person who took the screen. =P

Hm, how very interesting. *starts the download* Oh, and the screenshot you took of Shadow would look a little better if you'd save them in PNG or 24-BMP format. I can see where it's JPEG'd in the red of Shadow's quills/shoes and in the green numeric meter notations on the floor.

Either way, let's just see how the control schem handles on the trial PC version here... probably going to be much harder than with a control pad, if the special stages in Sonic CD were any sign of experience/control differentiation between keyboards and control pads.

You could not pay me to play this. Not only are PC's ghey for games (espcially mine), but it looks 10 times worse then the console version. Add online play and I may be interested.

PCs are much better for games than consoles. And the graphics all depend on the system's power....

So is anyone going to be interested in hacking this? At all?

I've tried it, and am surprised how well it works on my old (by today's standards) PC... Athlon 2GHz, 512MB RAM, ATI Radeon graphics card.

I found I had to edit the config file manually and disable 'blur', because the effect didn't work properly with this GFX card. When you start moving, a weird HPZ-background-style glitched texture is mixed with the edges of the screen :)

I could get an even higher res image if I bother downloading this.. =P

  14. I'll download it and try it.

Also remember that Sega and Sonic Team are lazy, good for nothing shits when it comes to programming and porting. To get the highest detail out of the game, you have to manually set some parameters in the video card control panel.

Meh, it looks alright. The system requirements are way, way over what other games of this detail require. As for gameplay, it feels like one of those arcade games that I pay $0.50 to play once, not like something I'd spend $50 on to have a copy of.

I'll hook up my PC game pad and see if it plays better then.

Also, why is the stupid bird I got stuck with wearing a "do-rag"?
