Sonic Megamix

It is fantastic to know, that such an incredible project will be worked on.
I'll follow your progress with great interest, like I did the previous years! ^^

 

This is my last post. I plan to use it here because I feel it is necessary. I have been very cautious with where I post at times. I think it is now time I became a pending approval.

With that being said, does this mean Megamix is back in business? If so then if you are planning on adding more characters. (don't count on it of course though. XD) then I think a great Super Transformation theme would be the Music that plays in Altered Beast after Transforming into the beast but before getting to the stage boss. (I believe the title of the track is "Theme of the Beast") That theme lasts a while too so not only does it feel powerful like a Super Transformation (especially if the pitch is changed some.) but people will get annoyed by it somewhat less. You don't have to put that in Megamix but at least put it into consideration. Although you could probably extract the better Arcade version's theme of the beast if you are truly planning on switching to CD Audio like some of the previous posts say.

I had fun with Megamix versions 3 and 4. Quite honestly I'm glad you decided to bring Megamix back from wherever you sent it Tweaks. Some of the bugs in the game were starting to bug (no pun intended) me. (such as the music sometimes not changing during a super Transformation.)

I actually kind of knew you wouldn't give up on Megamix so easily. (Especially since you have to beat Atomic Sonic with its Chibi bitmap Sonic and broken levels. (yeah I found a loophole in level select of that game that allows you to access the special stage and Green Hill Zone acts 1 and 2. Some of you probably already know this though and anyways it isn't important because both acts can't be completed without debug as there is almost nothing left.)

Just so you know I'm behind Megamix 100% (even if I suck at hacking.) I look up to you Tweaker so if you fail it will ruin your image in my eyes. (well sort of. It might make me cry some too. Nah I'm just joking with you. It takes a lot more than that to get me crying. It still will suck if you decide to stop doing the hack.)

 

Relevant question: Is there a CDDA soundtrack for Original? If so, is it brand-new, or remixed S1 music?

 

Fucking late as always BUT this coupled with my new job coming up has made my entire week! Nice one Team Megamix for sorting it out and continuing on the most EPIC Sonic hack I've ever played

Since mp3's are being used in this that means there can be voice acting or FMV's. I bet some people are waiting to see Jaleel White voice samples incorperated in the game ending.

 

Just to say I had some sort of proof that it was being continued, there was an obvious hint: The Member's Lounge "Post your desktop" thread. Tweaker posted is super nice desktop background, but one of his desktop icons was a Megamix folder (technically both 1 and 2 had folders =P).

Hell, he seriously does still have the Sonic 2 Megamix source code. Awesome!

Well, bacause I've never seen a people before, who has the source code still on their hard drive. And I also don't know it, because my hack is my first project ever. So yeah :P

Still, if he really hated the leak (I'm sure he does) and Megamix altogether, he sure wouldn't leave it on his desktop to remind himself of "what could have been" every time he sees his gorgeous bg... but I'd call it a speculation at the future of Megamix.

 

Tweaker will get Tay Zonday to voice everyone in the game.

 

I've been way out of the loop and I have so many questions to ask that I don't know where to start. So I guess I won't bother asking them. All in all, good to see this back in works...

This is kind of a dumb question(no surprise, I'm a nub ) but will we be able to have our own music play in Megamix?

Oh, and awesome that it wasn't cancelled.
