Sonic Mega Collection 3?

No more... just no more. How many fucking times must you rerelease Sonic 1 - 3K. The well must be getting dry by now. Who doesn't own some Mega Collection already. And what can they bring to the table now? Saturn 3D Blast? SegaSonic Arcade? Chaotix? That's about it. Oh maybe they'll throw in a few more obscurities. I don't think many people played Sonic Pocket Adventure. Why not throw in Sonic World from Sonic Jam? Put the Sonic OVA in the extras? Oh and even more comic book covers.

Yes, just release Sonic Mega Obscurity. But if I see Sonic 1 again then that's just fucking nuts. But hey if they made HD updates of the first 4 games I support that.

 

Dark sonic, those are all games I missed, so I'd love to play them =P

Another Mega Collection? As said, how much history can they milk?

I disagree.

No one and I mean NO ONE would go to the trouble of making a dozen or so other official sites going back to LAST YEAR with almost the whole Sonic gang a part of it in order to further dupe people into believing one elaborate hoax. There's just too much consistency between the pages., and too much effort put into it all, including the use of Japanese.

For the record, what's uploaded and favorited seems open ended (some videos dedicated to fan games are on the channel's favorites, for example,) so uploading something leaked isn't out of the question, especially if the launch was, what...less than 2 weeks away at the time?

I'm hoping for Saturn emulation, but realistically it's just Mega and Gems on one disc. Hopefully with the four games they cut from Gems this time (since they were E-10+ at most).

 

Actually, they already did Sonic R for Gems Collection. Don't know if it counts though.

So my hopes are SegaSonic Arcade, Chaotix, Sonic 1 and 2 Arcade... I don't know. The advance games, perhaps?

 

What would make me buy this is Chaotix, 3D Blast (Saturn), SegaSonic Arcade, SA1 (Dreamcast) and SA2 (Dreamcast). They should also add NiGHTS and Christmas NiGHTS, just like they added Ristar to the old Mega Collection. (After all, Sonic is a playable character in Christmas NiGHTS.)

Sonic World doesn't bother me. I have Sonic Jam, and it was really just a small adventure field with a few challenges added. Without the challenges they may as well have used an "Extras" menu to access the movies, pictures and music.

I'm not really interested in yet another Mega Drive/Game Gear compilation. We already have them all.

EDIT: Another thing that would encourage me to buy it is if it had all the different options that Sonic Jam had. (Difficulty, Time Attack, Special Stage and S1 Spindash)

 

Sonic R was on Gems.

 

The Sonic R in Gems Collection was the PC version, and so was Sonic CD.

Also, Saturn and 32X titles in this collection or I won't give a shit.

 

Well, Sonic Eraser wasnt in any collections yet.

 

No matter what;s on it, I'd probably get it for the Wii since I don't really want to "homebrew-ify" my Wii right now.

 

How many of these fucking things is SEGA going to dish out? Seriously, we got the first Mega Collection, then Plus, then Gems, then Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, THEN they rerelease the games on VC and XBLA, and now we have ANOTHER collection coming out. I'm pretty sure that everyone who bought the first two already won't have the need for another unless this one has absolutely EVERYTHING on it.

No company has rereleased their own titles as much as SEGA has, it's mind boggling how these things keep coming out.

 

What seems likely to me is including everything from Sonic Mega/Gems but excluding the non-Sonic games and maybe adding in some extra like Chaotix and the arcade game.

 

I was surprised to find out it apparently wasn't in either of the Sega Games Can collections!

 

Maybe it's all a cover to release finished versions of Xtreme and Crackers.

If they could cram just about everything into it. Sonic 1-3, Sonic CD, Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic R, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Fighters, SegaSonic arcade. I'd certainly buy it. Just cause I want to play Sonic fighters and SegaSonic arcade.

Or the other option. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 mega collection????

Of course, thats presuming its all true, since that channel doesn't look offical at all. Personally I think whoever created it, is just using it as like a hub to broadcast trailers, and has just decided to try a hoax, for a bit of fun. I mean, I don't think they would even call it Mega Collection 3, now would they. Since they didn't have Mega Collection 2, they had gems.
