The only reason I can't fully blow off your list is because the number of levels makes sense (they can only make so many). I'd imagine a list of acts to follow those levels to extend the length of the game, but I definitely hope this list isn't true, and we'll see come next month hopefully how valid it is, or isn't.

If their is Local multiplayer, I do not want Sonic recolours again. It was bad enough in Sonic Colours.

Put Sonic's friends to good use for a change.

LAUNCH BASE ZONE!!!! HOLY CRAP FUCK YES

One of my favorite zones from all time.

EDIT: 3DS Only? Fuck D: I have to add that list that Trunks presented doesn't seem right. 2 city levels and 2 GHZ levels? Like there is no reason why Seaside hill and Green Hill should be in the same game. At all.

Specifically looking at the C.Sonic picture, the texturing/mipmapping/anisotropic filtering or whatever the hell it was what we weren't liking the look of is looking much better.

But glitter on his eyes is still at the bottom of his pupils and this alone completely ruins C. Sonic for me despite the fact that he looks simply amazing :colbert:

That bothers me royally as well. Usually I'm not one to jump on the small nitpicking, but something about it just looks wrong :colbert:

Well it's just annoying since all the classic artwork had the shine on the top, and also, the cg classic model actually does put the shine in the right spot, but not the in game model.

Oh and if Trunks list is accurate, I'm hoping it's Bingo Highway instead of Seaside hill, and the Unleashed level better be Eggmanland seeing as how this game is devoid of a factory level. Seeing that level without the werehog would be my dream. And all Sonic friends returning? Well hopefully we see Mighty and Fang again.

And I've just realized that everybody seems to have forgotten about 3D Blast. Not that any of its levels were more memorable than the 2D ones, but at least Panic Puppet had a pretty cool concept that could be reused.

Also, quite odd that, according to Trunks' source, there's no Ice Cap Zone, even if they could get it from either Sonic 3 or Sonic Adventure.

Regarding the 3DS graphics, I can't say they look impressive to me, and they indeed look like an old non-3D DS game. I guess that at least their blockyness is a bit reminiscent of the Saturn days... or something. =|

Even the pixelated mess in your avatar has the shine on top. Looks like a really stupid oversight, and I'd be unpleasantly surprised if they haven't already gotten rid of it.

    Wtf did I miss.

Regarding Trunks' supposed list, what happened to Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles being separate games? Just saying there, because they are separate in the first place, and locked on in the end.

Everything looks good right now, it'll be enjoyed by everybody regardless of the level list. I still want that barrel to be back though, but I like Sky Sanctuary.

  11. It's an accurate moniker, isn't it?

Oh please, don't tell me that shine-on-bottom is going to be the new green eyes. :colbert:

    Also, "Sonic-Cola Classic", that's a new one I guess.

    sonic 1 - ghz (derp)
    sonic 2 - chemical plant
    sonic 3 - sky sanctuary

    sonic adventure - speed highway
sonic adventure 2 - city escape
sonic heroes - either seaside hill / bingo highway

    sonic 06 - crisis city
sonic unleashed - unknown (source didn't remember)
    sonic colors - planet wisp

What a terrible list. No Sonic CD, two city levels for the adventures, maybe another GHZ clone for Heroes.

  15. This is still a rumored list, and is in no way final.

I think we will see if this is true at E3...

  16. Fake list or not, I at least semi-hope the Sky Sanctuary part is real. Only semi-hope because there's so many other levels that are more fun and suiting from both Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. Really, why choose that over Hydrocity, Lava Reef, or especially Death Egg?

  17. I'm actually pretty sure the list is fake and the "reliable source" was full of shit. Looking back on it, it does look like it's based on the Jazzwares stuff, and that explains why they "didn't remember" what level the Sonic Unleashed level was.

Sorry guys, guses I was full of shit as usual. :|

No worries. Thanks for that though. Makes me smile cause I was none too happy with it. :)

  19. Thank you for being able to tell us of the mistake. Some people wouldn't have been able to swallow their pride and admit the mistake.

I'm hoping they adapt the gimmicks and level designs from the older games well. I just watched some videos of the two Sonic Adventure games and noticed a good deal of the levels weren't just 'run fast, hit spring, homing attack' (and 'grind rail' in SA2's case) - if they're taking cues from those and the Mega Drive games it could a good sign that Generations will steer away from the linear, samey gameplay from more modern-gen Sonic.
