Decrypting is SLOW going for me. It's only up to 1% right now.

It takes a while. Mines still at 1%, but I just started.

IIRC, Someone said that the Generations assets are either all packed into one file, or that's how Steam decided to encrypt Generations. And it's a few gigabytes or so large.

I'm pretty sure decrypting it isn't an easy task; that's not to say I'm not annoyed with this fact.

Ah, now it's at 1%, so it's obviously just very slow :v: I have work in 8 hours, sod it, I'm going to bed.

Where the hell is that demo they promised?

  6. @Chimera:

They're certainly not in one file when loaded. Maybe it's sent that way, but they're clearly separate files when I check <Steam Folder>\steamapps\common\sonic generations.

I just got it done "decrypting", now it has to install DirectX. So much for "immediately" playing the game, Steam, but it's still a lot better, I guess.

Oh shit, I just realized I can use my WiiMote as a Bluetooth controller. Hahahahaha yes.

Why would they release a demo when the game is out?

And suddenly, it's done. Launching the config first, it's installing DirectX like most games do.

Because a lot of games have released demos after the game is out?

Duke Nukem Forever, Mass Effect 2 come to mind.

Woah! REALLY nice news here! The config says, "Press Start on any controller to switch to it during the game". So I can use my Saturn pad for classic and my 360 pad for modern! AWESOME.

    Alright, got it going finally.

Maxed graphics, smooth as silk. Beautiful! Too bad the cutscenes don't look as awesome as the game itself.

For the record, I've got an Intel i5-2500k 3.3Ghz quad-core processor, AMD Radeon 6950, and 4GB RAM. More than enough to max this in 1080p.

Anybody know if you can throw the resolution up to 5760x1080? My copy is still downloading. Fucking computer went on standby when I left it on while at work (hoping it would be ready).

    Okay, one thing to say...

    FANTASTIC!!!!

Seriously, the only problem I have is that the colors seem to be a little off, but that might be my monitor, who knows. Other than that, holy crap, the controls are SO much more responsive with the 60FPS, and not only that but the high graphics really benefit from it! This is superb.

Feels like getting the 360 version was a terribad waste of money on my part now.

    Sure!

    Intel Q6600 @ 3ghz
    4GB DDR 2 ram
    ATI HD4850

60fps with shadows and reflections on low, it doesnt even look much worse
