Ath's model is excellent...although the rendering could use some tweaking of course. but besides that, I'd say that model is the best out of all of them. I have to say, this project may be the game that fans have been looking for...an Sonic adventure with classic feel. and a 3d game that won't die out, like the many fates of gl and the black emerald...

but what other options should we implement? I thought maybe we could have diffrent methods of traveling to hubworlds. like one way is running of course...and the other could be the classic bi-plane, the tornado! just a thought.

but anyways...I have a song out and I feel it could go well with an underwater type thing....

And if we get a "Classic vs. Modern" choice, what's the modern model going to be?

 

Then somebody'll have to rip that, I guess. What about using a sonic model grandmasterjimmy/polygon jim ripped (if we have permission of course). It's nice looking and pretty high quality.

 

While I do appreciate what you done so far, one of my main concerns of those models is the socks and whist: they looked like two tires/tubes that been put together. I suggest that you smooth them out so it looked more natural like the model above.

Also note that we're aiming for Classic Sonic, originally designed by Naoto Ohshima. So we have no need for modern Sonic models.

 

Sorry, I didn't. But it would be nice if we made a custom made modern sonic model too.

The bottom quils still look off to me on the classic model. Perspective or not, that seems like a very odd place for them to dip...not sure how to explain it better.

I've made some edits to the quills on Sonic's head so they look better at perspective.
If there is any other the modeling changes that you guys think should be made, please state it. I'm trying to have this model be the best it can be for the game.

 

Well, you might want to fix how the bottom of the stomach sorta stretches into his legs, also sonic wears shoes sized around 9 -10 not size 2 1/2's XD. Also I thought ya already chose a model T_T. This game isn't going to get any where if people don't stop contributing certain things that have already been decided on.

 

Well it's more the fact that Azukara has no clear idea of what he wants at all.


"I want this game to have Unleashed style Sonic!"

"I want Sonic to look like this bad Photoshop™!"

"I want Sonic to look like the Sonic Jam artwork!"

"Nevermind, he doesn't look athletic enough anymore."

"I want him to be based off that crappy Photoshop™ again!"

This project will go nowhere which is why I decided I wasn't going to help with it at all.

 

I say the game should be how people like it the best. He needs to have a blasted poll already. I really do like the idea for this game, its just how poeple don't know when to stop submiting stuff or ideas on decided things, like the whole thing with all the countless pages only discussing models.

 

His shoes really look that small to you ( size 2 and 1/2 )?

Anyway... Well, maybe its time a website is made for the sole pupose of this game (like what Sonic Revolution did). A least it could be more organized then posting on this one thread.

 

@athbucket Me and Azukara have been thinking about a page on moddb, but he wants to wait until there's more stuff to show.

Yeah, I kinda agree Jimmy here Azukara, you have been kinda confusing me. To quote the Simpsons : "So, you want a realistic, down-to-earth show... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots?"
