Anyone know how to get the ring on top of the tiny yellow/orange "house" near the dead center of Central City? It's the last ring I need for the map.

I don't even know why I'm bothering. Though I know I'm going to enjoy playing this more on actual DS hardware, whether I finish the whole game on my emu or not. The lag seems to worsen the longer I spend playing and even with my drawing tablet, some of the in battle circle draggin' doesn't seem to work. I'm sure 90% of the problem is that my computer (an off the shelf laptop made in 2005, so it already sucked balls to begin with) is too old to run a DS emulator at full speed. Those of you who have got this to work don't seem to be having a problem with performance.

And that's why I'll probably see if I can't get a new one as a graduation gift.

 

Even running at full speed, I found the pow moves to be absolutely impossible on the emulator. Yes, it's a lot easier on DS hardware.

 

Uh, gee, call me loopy, but maybe you should try there?

I'll try no$gba, if not purely for this.

 

Alright. I've found like, 5 of those "Eggman Devices". I can't find any more of them. Am I supposed to keep looking for eggman with that detector? Because I swear I've been all over fuckage and back.


Edit: and seconding that fucking single ring in Central City. HOW DO I GET IT

 

I can do the POW moves and get a "PERFECT", the lag/frameskips just make it difficult. Granted a tablet pen makes the game easier to play than if I was using a mouse or a laptop touchpad. Thank god I go to art school.

 

This game gets better and better as you go... I'm really liking it on the real hardware, I'm sure emulator sucks balls. I can almost perfect every time inc. defense ones, elite beat agents certainly helped.

If the sound wasn't so gay and some of the graphics retarded this would be an amazing comeback for Sonic. Not to mention that any story gripes or some gameplay is targeted for children, its a very fun game. Whoever said generic RPG is wrong... I hate RPGs, but the POW element gets me interacting, so it's a nice touch.

 

It's good fun but I can't save - this is with the patched rom to support flashcarts.
Maybe I should actually be using the unpatched one.
Played about twenty minutes - not really all that convinced...

 

BTW, which version of that song? Sat or Gen?

Which is really weird, since 90% of the remixes thus far have been from 3D Blast, and despite Jacques' involvement most of the tracks work off the gen soundtrack.

They could have used Rusty Ruins for Mystic Ruins, or maybe that's a surprise for Angel Island :o.

 

It's not looking good for me. I'm not worried about having the money as much as I'm worried about having the permission to buy it.

 

IGN's 6.5 seems to reassert my statements about this game being generic and poorly executed ass.

 

I've got to Eggman's base, and I sincerely hope I've hit some glitch, because if the Swatbot Mark IIs are this tough in the real thing, it's exceedingly poor planning. Doing a perfectly executed POW move, and taking off only 1 damage from each of them...

 

Nah, it's better than that, I'm enjoying it.

 

To be honest, I'm a little miffed that the Green Hill Zone has a new BGM (it didn't sound familiar to me anyway). Why would you do that? To the Green Hill Zone? I mean...FUCK.

Also, needs moar checkers.

 

Hm. I understand that's about equal to the average score for Sonic Heroes...

 

Yeah so far all the reviews I've read have said it's pretty generic. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's a step up from where Sonic was. Seeing as though I'm not a huge RPG fan to begin with, I probably won't be getting this.
