Sonic Chronicles leaked...

I already posted a fix for R4 users.
And no it does not freeze when you enter battle, I've played through the first 4 chapters without a single glitch. Sounds like your rom is bad. But good job making assumptions anyway.

 

How could the Rom be bad if they all downloaded the same one O_o

np, what do you think of the game so far?

 

I'm loving the game so far. It's much better then I expected, and the dialouge is fresh, as stated before. It also directly aims to blow all the Sonic Fanfiction out of the water with the characters comments with each other's relationships (Such as Rouge's comments on if she likes Knuckles). I hope that makes some crazy fan writers cry. The backstory in the codex is nice, although a little strangely written, but you must remember it needs to be understood for children too.

- I really like how you can talk back to the characters when they say something stupid, you can be a real smart-arse.

- I really hate how some of this art isn't put into the game properly, for example, the almost photoshopped chao and the cut in portaits

- Bioware has linked many of the Sonic stories into one, which up until now thought impossible.

- Tiny graphic glitches could be from missing ARM7 stuff, so I can't comment.

- Music makes my ears bleed



2nd chapter so far. Its nice.

 

I've got to quote Red Dwarf here to describe my feelings on the game.

I should hate almost everything about this game. The moving with the touchpad, the white outlined art, the cartoony humans (What is with the shouting GUN commander? He looks decidedly unusual.), the turn based combat... And yet, it somehow works.

Add in a dose of nostalgia, with the Metropolis and Green Hill, some nice level art, and Bioware's usual great dialogue, and it turns out being something that I quite like. It's not exactly anything too amazing, but it's fun.

 

Can anyone upload the music in a file format that one can listen to on a comp? Because frankly, that's the only thing that interests me about the game. Primarily the battle system is keeping me away from it. I didn't download it though, because I know my comp sucks at no$gba.

desktop zoom. You punch in the coordinates of the screen you want to zoom in on, and it magnifies that part of the screen.

I am about to try it with my M3 simply with firmware 1.14

 

I already said that I got it to work just fine. All you have to do is unpack it with DSLazy, replace the arm7.bin from the one in SimCity Creator, and then repackage it and throw it on your R4. Hell, you could probably change the shitty sound effects and freakish inaccuracy by playing with that too.

 

It sounds like this is a pretty good game. I might as well preorder it when I pick up Live At Gdansk at Best Buy...

 

Something isn't right. I've been playing this thing, and I just got to the four switches in the Mystic Ruins. It makes these battery looking things appear, and when I walk up to one, an exclamation mark appears. But when I click on it, nothing happens.

Did anyone else come across this? Am I missing something or is the ROM fucking up?

 

In emulation, when I got into the second chapter, quite a lot of the graphics (the top map screen in particular) became glitchy and brightly coloured. Anyone else had this?

 

The bottom-most one contains some sort of token or emblem. You have to take it, and then put it in the top-most battery, and then lower it back into the ground.

 

I noticed a little of that, but it's gone now.

Oh, and thanks Shade. That was getting on my nerves.

 

One the battery things has a coin in it, and you have to take the coin from one of the battery things to the other one and have it go down. It's a really odd puzzle.

(Yeah, I'm still playing it even though I extremely dislike how shoddy it is. Perhaps I'm hoping it gets better still >.>)

Is the music in Mystic Ruins a remix of something? I recognize that melody...

anyone know where the hell cheese is, it is getting annoying, oh, and for that brightly colored glitch thing, just save it, close the emulator, and reload it and it goes right away, now, where the hell is cheese, I swear, I must have scoured that whole zone multiple times except for where I need to climb

 

Hehehe. I've barely played this game, but it kicks ass. Leave it to the Canadians to get Sonic right. :3
