I've been watching how the games are since they were announced. The Wii U version is the one I know the most, and it just looks like it won't be anything special. That's already been said in the thread, but when I see combat in Sonic games, I get bad flashbacks to Sonic Heroes where they implemented health bars for enemies into the gameplay and it was super tedious. This game may be based around combat more than Heroes, but it still looks like it won't be any fun. It's something that I know kids who will be into the show will eat up, but to us, it's just some semi-decent cash in. As for the show, I don't really have much to say. I'll definitely check it out when it airs on TV, but a part of me is very cautious about it. It seems like it will definitely be hit or miss among fans. But it feels like it will miss more than hit. But, by name brand alone, it will probably get a few seasons or at least two.
Both games are now coming out on November 11 (at least in the US), because Rockstar's rereleasing GTAV on the 18th. That isn't the official reason, but do the math.
like the audience for GTA5 and Sonic boom are the same people, and even if they were, and could only buy one game, they'd wait a week and buy GTA5. I would anyway XD
Yeah, it's because of a game for a completely different group of people that's not coming to the Wii U. Not because of Smash Bros 4.
I bought the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu 2014 9/25 No. 1345 this past Sunday, I hadn't felt like scanning articles until today. Page 232 has article about Sonic Boom. If the language itself won't do anyone any favors, then surely the images may. I haven't been following this game too closely so I don't know who or what those robots are, but I certainly recognize Metal Sonic and Shadow (at least his katakana-written name) in the article. Here's a scan, if anyone cares. Higher resolution scan can be found and downloaded here.
What's going on in the screenshot above metal? Is that shadow turning red is that still metal? I can't make it out. So par the course for Sonic then, eh? :v:
Apparently SEGA will livestream the Japanese version of the game at TGS in about five hours and 15 minutes, with Takashi Iizuka and Harumasa Nakajima being there: http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv192684390 EDIT: Fixed link.
So about 40 minutes its up? I can snag anything new since Shadowplay's desktop recording is the best thing since sliced bread. EDIT: It's up. Should be rolling in 10 minutes. EDIT: We're rolling. Holy shit I want that Segata Sanshoro shirt. EDIT: Just trailers of the stuff we've already seen. Metal Sonic and Shadow teasers, a new gameplay segment with Knuckles and Amy in a mineshaft saving some dudes. 3D still looks awful and the 2D barely serviceable.
Tiller, for all that is good and merciful, please tell me you got Iizuka with his face buried in his hands after the Boom trailer. DISREGARD, HAVE FLUSTERED IIZUKA. Thank you, Stadium and Twitter.
If it was after the reruns of the trailers at the end I missed it I'm afraid. EDIT: Oh wait it was after the gameplay I have that part but you already got the image. EDIT2: slightly spliced gif incoming
Oh my god are you telling me even he thinks it looks like shit? Welp I'm not getting either game screw it.
