I just played and beat the demo. Is it seriously supposed to have a better framerate than the final version? Because the judder was awful. I'd give in-depth thoughts but I can't be arsed at the moment. Basically the demo offers up three sections which showcase the three different types of gameplay you'll encounter (plodding around collecting and smashing, repetitive boss fights and auto-run straight line zones) and they're all rather dull.
Nope. I also thought to myself, "that object is the best looking thing in the game" while watching it. I beat Shattered Crystal today. The game picks up after you get Knuckles, but that's not really saying much. It feels solid, but the flow of the game built around the core mechanics is fairly clunky. It's good for a handheld adventure, because you can do one of the main stages, a tunnel, and a race in one sitting, and come back later for a few more and you're done. Once you've finished, the stages are kinda fun to speed through for tokens, so I can't say there's no replay value or anything. I gotta say though, Amy's House is a pretty dumb unlockable. You should have been able to swap Amy out for somebody, or double tap any direction to access her. They could have just put that dance during or after the credits. At least the blueprints help you in some way, but of course you get "boost kills stuff" last.
I'm still so fascinated that Lyric's desires are essentially Eggman's original desires for a mechanized world for him to rule, turning Eggman into a dolt. Between him, Shadow, and Knuckles, the writers really seemed to hate the original main motives of the characters and turned them into pure comic relief.
What is that facial expression? Did Amy have a stroke or something? Seriously every render looks like that.
