Very much agreed - hell, Before the Sequel 2012's OST actually went and caught Jun Senoue's attention, and that's saying a LOT. But this? AtS tops it! Also, updated the post up above - artist credits have been added.
I should mention that there are some other minor little errors in the list, but saying what would probably be spoiling. I'll leave it till after release before I say anything. :P
Eh, I do what I can! Some errors I would imagine, such as the number of acts towards the final levels, maybe an extra zone beyond Dream Dance à la Doomsday, and additional cutscene music, but I'll just leave the chart as is until some bits need editing... or until some confirmation. :P
IIRC the trivia in Before the Sequel Aftermath showed off that Lake gave up giving Sugar Splash a boss since he tried 3 times and disliked them all. Unless that changed I would imagine it doesn't have a boss tune.
Yes, Sugar Splash boss was scrapped; you can take that off the list. I've expanded upon the beta versions of Sugar Splash and Foliage Furnace; those will now be the special acts. And yeah, like Falk said, not everything has been uploaded yet. Most of my stuff I'll be releasing after the game and OST come out.
If you still desire a boss for Sugar Splash, I can try and come up with something that's compatible with Lake's version of Worlds. I'd need to play the game first for best result in that case, though. In any case, I'm psyched about the soundtrack, but I'm probably going to wait on spoiling myself until the actual game is released so I can hear how it sounds with the actual stages. ^_^
Oh god, I'm scared and hyped. Anyways, doing a stream race with VizardJeffhog and prolly SSF1991 on this epic game when the OST and fangame are both done, hopefully after my exams. So should be 2 weeks later, on a Friday or Saturday. Guess what, one person from the AtS team. has. agreed. to. try. his. best. to. join. in. the. fun. in the stream chat. AND the voice chat. NOT GONNA SPOIL WHO YET THOUGH. DON'T WANNA SPOIL THE SURPRISE. I might ask few others but all of them are so busy and I was so lucky this guy is prolly free. So there might be more people from the team, which me and VizardJeffhog will love, but chances are less. I'll give more info on this when it's time and stuffs. But anyways, that's why I'm hyped. I'm scared as if the game comes out with with like 80% of the music done only, I hope Lake can at least re-release a version with all the music when the OST is done. It'd be quite sad if that was the case, but what can you do. Well, the game's still gonna be awesome so yeah, can't wait to play it. oh also I might try to model a stage from this game, it's a blocky one but I'm not sure, I'm trying. yes.
THREE NEW TRACKS! Falk Pomp and Circumstance - Menu KgZ, Tunners Espresso with Bayonetta - Cyan City Act 3 Mr Lange Untitled - Sugar Splash Special Act Will update tracklist post after work. EDIT: OH HEY A FOURTH DJ Max-E Lava Falls - Redhot Ride Act 2
God damn you guys. I hope you're all proud of yourselves. This stuff is mighty impressive. And so saith the mighty gaben: worth the weight. This needs a ton of exposure, for Lake's quality game and for all the effort put into these jammin' tunes.
In reference to the list I have to give credit to KgZ for breathing some serious life into Ascent to Madness and to Falk for arranging the amazing orchestral version of Schizophrenic Tower. THOSE GUYS.
Done and done! No new songs to report, but there have been updates from DJ Max-E's side that might have slipped from your radars. The URLs have been changed to accommodate the changes. Parhelion Peak Special Act has been moved to Redhot Ride Special Act, now titled Hot n' Cold. Redhot Ride Act 3 is now titled Disco Heat. Parhelion Peak Boss is now titled The Reckless One.
Spoiler Well guys here we are. Hope you guys are on track for release. Don't you have your own game you need to be making? :P
I'm going to do the same. I really appreciate that you're planning a release tomorrow for those who can no longer hang on. But I for one would like to enjoy a complete game and given the tremendous amount of efforts you guys have been providing on the fangaming scene, I think we can owe you that.
In-game Freedom Planet advertising, perhaps? A boss from the game? :P I dunno, I like the idea. On that note, I agree with the others that I'd rather play the final build with the complete OST. ^^; Either way, this thing will be getting a splash from me on The Sonic Stadium's front page. :D
