Ofcourse I can only assume that because Chao Karate was added in Battle. Oh man, really looking forward to this, I'm gonna get allll the achivements! Kinda funny that they obvioulsy have a playstation circle button icon up there, silly Microsoft, look at your screenshots before you post them XD
Guess they figured it was worth the expense. *shrug* I still say it would have been arguably better for the franchise's brand to NOT do it. I'll also point out I was spot on earlier in this thread - it IS just SA2 branded, Battle IS an extra addon... the only surprise is the widescreen.

I'm not a fan of the new icons myself. The Sonic and Shadow ones almost look like they came from Sonic 06...Also any mention of online multiplayer? Please...?
Actually, the arrows are missing the pattern due to the emulator. They're there in both the dreamcast and gamecube version.
About time they announced this. And good, HD. Now I may actually buy it. But why the updated life icons? Seriously I just don't see the point. Someone just said "Hey those life icons look kinda shit... lets make new ones." Plus if they were going to make new ones why not just make better ones (Sonic Team Sonic head logo style for all kthnxbi). Seems at least minimal effort was put into this however. With any luck, we may see some new things (Really hoping for a mode where you can play as any character of the same type in any level in one player, also GHZ in 2 player please). If not, well a new menu might be nice at least. Also thank god SA2 branding. No cheesy "Battle" thing tagged on.
