    Ruby Eclipse is currently in Texas. That's probably what they're getting at.

    I'm betting fake, but still, I'm getting excited. Has to be pointing at Adventure 3 on the off chance it is real.

    EDIT: Forget it, there's little to no chance it's real, judging by the other videos the user put up.

    Poor after effects, unfitting ripped SA2 track (ending theme), not an official channel (it was made just today), it's just trying to capitalize on everyone thinking that Aaron and Kellie are gearing up to announce a game.

    It's fake guys.

    I'm extremely tempted to create a new thread for this what with the rumour storm and constant updates that keep flying around. However there's still nothing announced nor concrete and I've been here long enough to know that a "Sonic Adventure 3" speculation thread would be closed quite promptly. Even so there is a potential update. Edge are teasing this at the back of their latest issue:

    I believe that is an image of a Chao. Some posters on NeoGAF agree. Sonic Adventure 3 reveal incoming?

    Do a Google Image search for Chao - not a single one has those spots next to the eyes, or for that matter, black eyes. They're all blue or white. Unless they've been redesigned, it ain't a chao.

    Before you all get skeptical, lets try to deduce what that image COULD represent. These "back-of-the-magazine" teases are always for games from known franchises, it's not gonna be something from an obscure franchise no one would be able to get, and it's not gonna be for an announcement of a new IP. Who in their right mind would tease a game either no one's heard of or that is a new IP with an image like that? Usually teasers imply something mysterious before the big reveal.

    What do I think? It looks close enough to a chao face to be a slight update/redesign. Right off the bat I'm saying Sonic Adventure 3. The Adventure series was known for it's chao gardens, and the chaos have basically disappeared entirely since the Adventure/Advance days, so if it IS a Chao, all signs are pointing to SA3. If it ISN'T a chao, then what could it possibly be?

    The cat (Rosie) from Animal Crossing I was thinking of doesn't resemble that all that well looking at a picture of her.

    I also had a quick look through some Dragon Quest images (including DQ X), and couldn't find anything denoting a female slime. What caught my eye is that the smile from the magazine image, while incredibly why-even-bother-to-make-that-connection-esque, is very close to the one in the bottom right in the image Overlord linked. :tinfoil:

    Still, I really think if they wanted to get across that it was a Chao, it would have a yellow tinge to the top of the image. I'm Googlin' like crazy trying to think of what this could possibly be. I know what the 8 year old in me wants this to be, but my current 19 year old self will not allow it to be possible. I can't let myself start thinkin' that.

    Is there a better picture out there anywhere? Where did it even come from anyways?

    I am also Googling like a madman, but I really can't think of or find anything that looks anymore like that picture than a slightly re-designed Chao. But I really doubt it is, why would they use that to tease a Sonic game? They've always been relegated to an optional feature, and most non-Sonic fan gamers wouldn't recognize it.

    That could literally be anything. But I can't think of anything other than Chao looking at it.

    A magazine called Edge. I think the issue is #252. Also, under #252, it says March 14th. Maybe they got a rumor where a new Sonic game will be announced around March?

    I'm not sure though.

    because...where is the fun in that? The best part of a new game announcement is the speculation and the hype before it's revealed! at least to me. The mystery...!

    But hyping yourself up for teaser that sorta maybe possibly looks like a Chao and thinking that it could be Sonic Adventure 3 is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
