In retrospect, it's pretty shocking how many basic features were skipped out on or mangled in SADX

So, did the D-Pad handle this in the Dreamcast version? I guess that would explain the goofiness.

Yep, that's exactly it. They just quickly swapped it out for the right stick on the GameCube and called it a day.

And now for something decidedly non-spooky.

Chao Spin Swap - swaps X and B in the Chao Garden so you can spindash with X and grab with B.

It's not much, but I made a mod that plays "The Ocean" music in the outside areas of the Egg Carrier (the three deck areas, the pool, and the Captain's Room) after it sinks. http://mm.reimuhakurei.net/sadxmods/EggCarrierOceanMusic.7z

Something I've always wanted to see. It's a bit of a shame they never used this music in the final game (save for a brief cutscene). Nice one!

  9. Can hacked version of PVMeditSharp itself be downloaded? Hey-Pi-Ron's "SA2 style pack" and other DC->PC ports like Omikron can use some mipmaps too.

No, I modified it, used it, and reverted it. I don't know if it's already done, but eventually Morph is going to have the Mod Loader make D3D automatically generate mipmaps for all textures that don't already have them (with possible exception to certain Chao textures).

Cool, I loved that track (I made an AR code for the Gamecube just to play it on the field). Will you be attempting anymore music fixes (like Hedgehog Hammer's proper theme in the Adventure Field mini game)?

I'm not sure how easy that would be. The Adventure Fields are, with a few exceptions, designed to play one track continuously through all sub-areas.

Yep, that's all working. If mipmaps exist in the texture, those are loaded. Otherwise, they're generated on the spot. It can also be disabled if necessary in the mod manager, and it works seamlessly with texture packs as well. It's not the most efficient thing in the world since it will end up mipmapping things like UI textures, but that's unavoidable. A small price to pay for automatic mipmaps, though. The code is also there to mipmap palletized textures (I.e Chao stuff), but because of where I injected the code, it would generate mipmaps every frame, because apparently the palette is applied every frame.

Hey guys, I have a relatively simple mod in mind that I'd like to make- one that simply edits the trial menu subgames for Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, and Gamma to use the 5 DLC Twinkle Circuits, but I have no idea where to start, I have the latest SA Tools, and I've previously used SADX Tweaker (the old one) to do this as an EXE mod, but I would really like to make one as a mod-loader DLL for a possible future BetterSADX update, where-in it allows you to play the Twinkle Circuit DLC Stages as different characters.

I'm not familiar with all this INI stuff, DLL mod generator, etc. Anyone care to fill me in?
I'd also like to know this because if I could convert some of the older "CHRMODELS.DLL" based model swaps to Modloader DLLs fairly easily in the future, I'd love to put a few of those out at some point as well.

Thanks to the help of MainMemory and Morph on #x-hax I got this cool little mod made.
It's simple, just replaces the trial sub-game menu's Twinkle Circuits for everyone except Sonic with the DLC Twinkle Circuits, essentially making it so each character has their own course.

    Enjoy.

    Download!

    Really!? Freakin' awesome, good work!

And it comes at a time when I'm quite burnt out on Sonic Adventure after having played through it twice in a row (once on DC, once on PC) last month! :P Ah well, I'll use this next time!

I've updated the mod with more progress indicators for emblems, missions and stories.

For the achievement mod should I be seeing my steam profile say "in-game sonic adventure"? I do own the Steam version.
