No shit.

Try opening KEGA Fusion, pressing CTRL+G, and selecting S1SAGE. Congratulations! You can now record Sonic 1 SAGE Edition using Fusion's AVI Logger! Only problem is, no Achievements or score/time uploading.

 

Is it a known bug that some of the leaderboard links from the userpages don't lead to the right zones? For example:

MZ2,3 -> LZ2,3
SYZ2,3 -> MZ2,3
LZ2,3 -> SLZ2,3
SLZ2,3 -> SYZ2,3

Everything else looks like it goes to the right place.

 

It seems to be a mixup between zoneID and zone order number - the same as with the full game leaderboards being in the wrong order. MZ, second level, leads to LZ, second level in level select. SYZ, third level, leads to MZ, third level in level select.

 

New (rage-inducing) bug alert.

So I was doing the full-playthrough going for the Aqua Lung achievment, and I decide to do the special stages, too. So I do them, miss the third emerald, continue to the sixth by entering Spring Yard 2's lower exit, get it, achievment sound plays (for some reason), and now I'm trapped in an endless cycle of exit spinning.

Update: Upon restarting, it appears that is was Pinball Wizard that unlocked.

Edit: There is one thing I want to credit to you for this more than anything, you didn't put in that annoying-ass Sonic CD jump sound that everyone seems to have the hotts for.

 

That's actually due to the type of waveform used for the jump SFX. Enable "PSG (Sine Wave)" in the Sound menu and voila - Sonic CD jump sound! =P

 

Looks like I could be arsed to collect every ring in every special stage.

Apparently, missing emeralds is better than getting them on your first try.

 

This exact same thing happened to me, same level and achievement and everything. Funny thing is I know for sure I hit the bumpers more than 10 times so I shouldn't have unlocked Pinball Wizard at all.

 

This seems to be a common problem on my end as well. I thought it had gone, but I was wrong. Basically, when trying to get the sixth emerald, or fail the sixth special stage in a full playthrough, it would give me a random extra achievment (I.e. If you get the emerald, you get 2 achievments, if you hit a GOAL sphere, then 1 random achievment is awarded) and then stick me in a loop of the stage trying to fade out while spinning, but never ending. On that note, however, every achievment I have got in a special stage has come up as garbled text. I dunno if this is just me or not though.

 

Yeah, that's happened to me too.

Also, I got caught in a continuous "Achievement unlocked: Get blue balls" after doing the required stuff. I wasn't holding the buttons or anything.


Forgot to say, this is truly impressive and revolutionary. Awesome work.

 

Has anybody an idea why the plugin is running on my old and scrappy computer (upgraded from ME to XP. Ugh, damn you, BSoD's) instead on a newer one?
On the old one it gets enabled while on the one I'm on right now, doesn't.

 

I actually talking about the music plugin.

So, from what I've figured out, it'd be possible to play this on another console/emulator, and then transfer the Sram, and upload scores?
I'm going to give it a try anyway. =P

Well this is annoying. Started up the game earlier and my achievements got wiped. Not good at all.

 

Note: to avoid data loss, please backup your SRAM regularly.

 

Me to with this bug. Bloody annoying when your aiming to complete the game with all emeralds.
