I think I have quite a large collection of art that I think is quite rare:

I'm pretty sure this is a different version of this classic pose:

People with really large picture, can you please use thumbnails? Those big images slow other people's browsers down.

  4. I remember all of this stuff as a kid! I loved it. Where's Sonic is another we need to get good scans of since Sonic's way cooler than WALDO.

All this rare art is like buried treasure for me, I absolutely love this thread. All those images look amazing! Recently I was looking around on the Wiki in the Super Sonic section and saw this image.

Is this a real official image? If so where did it come from? The only official Super Sonic artwork I was aware of is the one I've posted earlier in the thread. I have never seen this image before...is it fan art or official? It looks official to me but I'm not sure, it reminds me of the Sonic Concept artwork found in Sonic Jam and Game World.

I think they look terribly overdesigned, even for the Riders sub-series.

It's official. it came on the packaging of the NEW Super Sonic 'classic' figure. I have the 3 inch one, and I'm sure that was on there- it even has the same style.

I don't have rare art, I have some awesome objects though, like the Sonic The Hedgehog pinball machine ;) And the Where's Sonic? book. I also have tonnes of old figures and such, and a bike helmet. I'm awesome.

Actually, I think that Sonic Pinball machine might have some unusual art.

Sorry about the quality, Ill get a better one if anyone requests it. That's some different fish artwork at the bottom, I'm sure.

Edit; just have to say, I love the black and grey style the old Sonic stuff had. It was either that or the GHZ coloured chequers. I love it.

I have a lot of that stuff - the binder, the special, the novel (I have the other 3 too)... I have the pencil case as well, somewhere =P

It's official. It's on the F4F mini figure packs (series 2 and the 6-figure set).

And of course it's been edited slightly so British kids don't get into trouble by copying Sonic's hand gesture in the original! :D

That Zone Zapper adventure book uses a very wierd looking Robotnik for its interior art. Basically he resembles the AoStH version (only with a different moustache and minus the red nose) but wears the classic Robotnik outfit.

Agreed on the Ladybird book cover. I pretty much love it whenever they use the western airbrush shading on less off-model line art.

It might be worth noting that the Super Sonic Art matches the hidden Super Sonic sprite in Chaotix, look at his spikes.

  15. Christ Graxer those are so big I can't even see them without manually copying the link. Mind scaling those, linking to thumbnails, or just posting the raw links?

    Welp, this.
Graxer, would you be willing to scan Adventure Gamebook 4 (or any other non-text-heavy books)? We only have the first three on the wiki.

Mercury, do You happen to have "How to Draw Sonic the Hedgehog & the Gang" book too? I would be interested to see what kind of technique they use you to teach this? I usually learned drawing Sonic by drawing first a nose, then a snout/mouth part, eyes and so on.

Here's a few scans from the "How to Draw" book. Not the full book, but a decent preview. You basically reverse-engineer stock art. The rest of the book shows you how to draw characters from the SatAM Universe, like Bunnie, Rotor, Antoine, Snively, and even Cluck and the SWATbots.
