I actually kinda want to stay up for this and see what happens, but I gotta go to bed. I'm surprised we only need 150 more so quickly, make more accounts people, I can see us getting this bonus before dawn breaks. :O

Actually, they said that this would last for 24 hours. So there's still, what, 10 more hours left on this?

    I just realized something:

What if we get the point and are able to see what they show, and it turns out to be a Sonic, Shadow and Big game, with all three in a Retro look?

Think about it: Sonic gets his retro moveset(basic jump, spindash, insta-shield and shields), Shadow gets Sonic's modern moveset(lightspeed dash, homing attack, wall jump, ect.) and Big gets a unique moveset (attacking with his fishing pole for massive damage, using the fishing pole to get across certain areas ala-hookshot from OoT, using his girth and weight to break down objects nobody else could). It'd be three unique play-styles, but all doing the same thing: platforming. Maybe even giving them all super forms(imagine super big... ) that they could use.

Somebody seriously needs to make this happen. :P

But anyways, can't wait to see what they reveal if/when we get this final bonus point. :3

What's the dilly-o on the Potential Character List for Needlemouse?

    "Zzzzz...."

Still am bemused that some people think Sonic won't be the only character. I'm also calling that the amount needed for the bonus will be reached by a whisker. Promotional art would be nice, I almost always like promotional art.

If that's the case then we definitely have this in the bag, we're getting that bonus tomorrow no matter what. I'm off to bed, too much time wasted for no reason. At least I'll probably be greated with Needlemouse goodies by the time I get home tomorrow, g'night gents.

How close are we now? Did SEGA make any other announcements?

The blog says 24 hours, and the message was posted at 11:16:19AM; not sure what's the timezone, but I think that's plenty of time left.

Let's see. Sega of America is located in the West / PST time range. San Francisco, CA to be exactly.

So as I type this: 3 hours, 20 minutes.

EDIT: I live like 40 miles away from San Fransisco, so I know.

[EDIT] Never mind; I thought the post time was localized for different time zones.

If they posted at 11 AM (I think it's going by PST), then that means we might have 14 hours left.

It would be simple to work Big into being able to do some platforming, if you think about it (and think about it I did) . In fact, I'll show you:

Basically, We'll work with a simple control scheme for him, using the analog stick(or however you'll move him) and two buttons, A and B.

left and right would basically move him as such. Unlike the others though, he wouldn't go faster if you kept on holding down the direction, but he's stay the same speed(so as to not be such a loss if he gets hit).

Now then, A is for his jump, and B for his main action button. When you press the action button, Big could swing his pole, which could have a decent reach and destroy enemies that it hits. But if you held down B, he could raise it up, and a targeting thing could appear. There, you could move it around via-the analog stick(while still holding the action button) to aim. Let go of the button, and he casts his pole to where you aimed at. Not only could he use it to grab onto objects he could do so with(and swing across dangerous gaps), but also pull in enemies to him, where he could then attack them.

Another thing he could do is use his belly flop move from Sonic Heroes, only configured to pressing down and then the action button. This could not only damage enemies below him, but also destroy some objects blocking the path.

Finally, you could have him grab certain large heavy objects by pressing the action button when close enough to them. He could then throw them at enemies, or set it down somewhere, like a switch or something like that. This could lead to some simple puzzles to solve.

Now then, to sum it up, his controls would be like this:

    Left, Right: Move that direction
    A button: Jump
B button: swing pole, grab object, throw object
    Down+B: set down object
    Hold B: aim pole
    Release B: cast line
B (when line attaches to something) : Pull yourself to it/pull the object to you
B (when swinging on the line) : release the line.
Down+B (in the air) : belly flop

Basically, a useful moveset and plenty of opportunities for him to do some good platforming can be possible to do with just what I listed. It may not happen, but maybe someday somebody could take this and make it possible.....

So yeah, just my thoughts on if they indeed let Big be playable here. :P

Darn, I'm out of Tweets. I was having so much fun too, I was just rambling with #SEGA pasted before my posts.

It will be. SEGA has too much hype on them now, they HAVE to give us something. Promotional artwork would be fine, but, damn if I don't want to see a screenshot or two.
