I had a topic before, but it was posted... just under a year ago. So I figured I'd just make a new one. What I'm looking for is a card that can play relatively modern games (Sonic Generations, for example) at 1360x768, my monitor's native resolution, at 60fps. I'm trying to keep to around 100 bucks, but if I really, *really* have to, I'll dip a little further. Can anyone help? My specs OS: Windows 8 Release Preview, x64 (I've got nothing on it right now so I can always just drop back to Win7 if the drivers require it) CPU: i3-530 (2.93GHz, 2933 Mhz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical Processors) RAM: 8GB DDR3 Motherboard: ASUS P7H55M Pro Expansion slots: 1 PCI Express x16, 1 PCI Express x1, 2 PCI (all of them are free) Display Adapter: built into the processor/motherboard (Intel HD Graphics) PSU: 400w (I ran my system through some PSU calculator and it said it was probably using around 200w right now, not sure how accurate that is)
This is better (even with less memory!). I have an Radeon 6870 CPU@945Mhz 1GB Memory@1150Mhz DDR5. I play Generations with AA on, 4x Anisotropic 1920x1080. 60fps. Rarely drops, but when does, drops to 56~57 briefly.
