If SEGA made a Sonic Unleashed 2...

OMG! Grand Cannyon FTW! It would be a dream coming true! I would love to see a "Grand Cannyon-ish" level in a Sonic Game!

 

What if that level had a series of Rails? Then that could be done!

This video made me realize how much better the voice acting for the Sonic game characters were back then...

Also! Hehe! Rail Canyon, Bullet Station and Glyphic Canyon all tryied, but could not succeed.

But there's still hope!

But also how about something like the Grand Canyon or Hong Kong? Those would make for some interesting levels too.

 

Get some Rocky Mountains in there. Pine trees and shit.

 

Hong Kong would also work pretty nicely~! It's a really flashy city and a developed one: It could be the new Empire City.
Also, a stage in London would be pretty nice. London would totally be so much better than Spagonia, and the name of the stages could call "Clockwork City" lol

 

Green Hill Zone.

Or even better, Antarctica. Because no people live there, you wouldn't have to talk to anyone.

Fail, there are scientists living there on and off. =P But an Antarctica-based level sounds good as long as it's not too similar to Holoska.

As for Green Hill, I'd rather see Angel Island.

India would be a novel location to use.

...No, Secret Rings doesn't count.

The Himalayas (or similar mountain chain) wouldn't be too bad either.

 

What about South Island as a whole? But not in levels and Hub Worlds....One open world South Island. Flesh out EVERY stage that takes place there in full 3D(ALL acts), from both versions of Sonic 1, Sonic 2 8 bit, and Sonic Chaos, stitch it all together, and fill everything else in making it look like a real island, but keeping the surreal feel of Sonic 1. Of course places like Scrap Brain and Mecha Green Hill would likely be in ruin since Sonic's already wreaked his havok on em, but they could still show up in one form or another. It'd be extremely difficult to pull of with such a large area, but picture it like Oblivion, Sonic style.

 

How about an Alaskan level that isn't a bunch of stock Eskimo stereotypes and igloos? :|

Fairbanks, my town, would be a great example. That and the outlying rural areas would make for some great levels.
I guess introducing a season cycle to the game might help, since Alaska isn't -ALL- winter...

I don't know how many people care when all of the locations in Sonic Unleashed are pretty much exclusively constructed upon cartoony stereotypes. It's not like they're singling Alaska out, bucko.

I think they covered enough real world locations in Sonic Unleashed.

I'd like to see them remake levels based off past games. Imagine some of the levels from past games reborn with the Hedgehog Engine (Seaside Hill, Grand Metropolis, Radical Highway, Pumpkin Hills, The ARK, and Digital Circuit) are all great examples.

 

Those would be nice unlockable levels, but really, a new Sonic game should have new, surrealistic levels.

 

London, except every townsperson should be an exaggerated seterotype, complete with top hats, monocles and moustaches.

Even the women.

 

One of Sonic's missions could be to make a palace guard laugh.

Got it. The area around Never Lake. Sonic CD Opening, Sonic Unleashed style. Maybe even Little Planet. Westside Island and Cocoa Island wouldn't be bad either.
