    I did this years ago and completely forgot about it:

    I mixed SA2's Super Sneakers with Sonic Heroes BATTLE: Sea Area music because I thought that particular battle music would have made a better super sneakers theme rather than what was actually used because it sounds VERY similar to the Sneakers theme. Maybe they wanted a new super sneakers theme all along, but carried over the SA2 sneakers style for this song. I found it eerie how the two fit together so well.

    Doesn't really surprise me. All those jingles were designed around the same basic chord progression, being simple, easily loopable jingles. I do agree that they're pretty much interchangeable, though.

    Now, if you had say, commented on the similarity between the good ending ending of Sonic 3D Saturn and Sonic 1 GG credits / Unleashed trailer song, that would be something.


    I mean, every modern invincibility song uses the I-bVII-bIII-IV progression, pretty much.

    I think his point is that he didn't mix it with an invincibility theme. His point is that it mixed so well with a non-invincibility song. But true enough what you said.
