Oh, in relation to that project, for a level, what sounds better?


Planet Freon, Planet Sonata, or Planet Automaton?

 

I'd say Freon. Though they all mean different things, don't they?

I'm interested in this, I'd like to see more.

 

Yes, trying to decide on a theme for one of the levels. Those three seem good but I can't seem to choose which to use.

 

I'd say Planet Auto (not Automation). But it wasn't an option

 

I'd say Freon. But what Ristar's planets name has to do with it anyway?

 

Probably re-using art? Guy fancies a Ristar level, doesn't know which one?

Freon is a commercial name for the type of refrigerant used for everything from AC units to cars.

EDIT: That predates everything Sonic and Ristar, just to clarify.

 

Maybe, you remember my little hack, Sonic High Force. It was a beginner hack, I couldn't even add Spin Dash completely.
But I started to learn ASM few months ago. So I could port finally Spin Dash and add some new features.

I may actually include that in S3F with your permission Sparks and an S2 version to load for MTZ's to make Mecha be retro styled :P.

 

Is it me or should that be a Tech Hoax?

 

How so? They said they gave Mecha Sonic the S1 eggpod, so it's not a hoax, it's a picture that gives us an update on what they're working on, exactly what this thread is for.

 

OH. So that's what it is.

It's been so long since I've played S3K I didn't know what was special about that picture.

 

I meant it looks exactly like a screenshot of S3&K to me. And no offense but I don't see the point in putting the S1 eggpod in S3&K.

But if they ported that entire scene to S1 or S2, then that's an achievement.

 

Getting that shot in S1 would be easy, SSZ art in GHZ, and replace Dr. Robotnik with Mecha Sonic. =P

 

that's pretty impressive there, you might wanna look at fixing the layouts and music a bit though.

 

For someone who seems to find asm difficult, you code some hard stuff you know... are you secretly awsome at asm?=P.

 

After I made level transition, I changed level layout in a hurry, so it looks pretty bad. I'll change music as well.

As I said, I started learning ASM just few months ago. I know only basic functions, but I am good at programming and can compose algorithms for solving different tasks. When I give myself a task, I start doing anything for solving it: learning addition ASM functions, exploring Sonic engine, etc.
