Evidence that Sonic Adventure DX released on PC in North America?

Convinced it exists now?

 

I bought a copy on eBay from a company called SoldOut Games, and had its own box art, CD label, and even installer (apparently they make copies of hard-to-find older games and sell them for cheap). Not sure what region it was though. Mainly got it just to fool with the excellent Super Sonic mod from Endri

 

What? Is it considered rare? You guys would be surprised; when I was in search of my Kinect back in November, I went to a famous entertainment store here where I live, and I came across a shelf full, and I really mean, full of Sonic Adventure DX US version. I guess no one wanted to buy them... since Christmas 2003... they were being sold by $9.99. If I only knew... I should've taken a picture!

Mine is the US version. I was gifted with it on my birthday, 2003. Obviously, some days later I downloaded the crack that would allow me to play the game without inserting the game disc, and the crack was based off of the EU version of the executable. Either way, I was completly underwhelmed by the PC version; I felt it was a lackluster in many aspects. I found it to be inferior to the Dreamcast version; the textures were worse, the visual effects, hell, even the clipping distance was further in the DC version. Luckly, sometime later I got the much supperior Gamecube version, and everything was fine once again.

EDIT: Actually, I inverted the order; I got the GC version first in my birthday, and the PC version later with my own money. That's why I was so frustrated back then.

 

Sold-Out Software is a British company, so probably based on the EU version, although the only difference I've found between the two is SecuROM on the EU version.
