    The problem is, that whenever I burn a DVD, the drive just won't read it at any cost whatsoever. However, it reads other disks perfectly, and the ones I burned are also readable -- on other drives. o-o
    I've double checked the connectors - no problems with those. Have I got to replace it, or is there another solution?

    By the by, the drive's about two years old and was used quite much for burning. I guess it should be replaced. .-.;

    ... Then you just answered your own question ...

    Anyway: I burn Dreamcast games a lot and from what I have read, frequently burning discs will wear out your DVD/CD drive.

    Might be B.S. but that's my two cents.

    Are DVD drives all that expen$I've?
