DAMN. WTF

    So let's see what do we know at the moment...

    -You're using a perfectly normal Sonic 2 final ROM in Death Egg.

    -Then, at the final boss battle, you use the teleport monitor and appear at MechaSonic's battle, where MS looks all garbled. As you are in your last life, you let him kill you to get the GAME OVER screen.

    -Then the whole game is all glitched up, and when you select Death Egg again there's no floors at all and somehow, the game loads all the graphics from the beta version, including the whole set for Neo Green Hill, the prototype lamp post and a spring graphic where the arrows for the teleport monitors should be. All of which won't appear anymore after the stage restarts.

    -Also, for no reason, the game starts playing some invalid instruments in the music.

    -There were no hacks involved whatsoever.


    Is that it?

    That is correct. Except that I can't remember if it was either the boss battle or in the hall that I placed the transfer monitors. I'm pretty sure it was in the hall, because I have a hard time passing Silver Sonic, so I thought that maybe that would transfer me to the final boss.

    And no, it's not hacked. The only possiblty is that my ROM itself is hacked, or that my ROM somehow got corrupted somehow while downloading.

    Your ROM being corrupted may be a possibility. However, if the other Sonic 2 ROMs come up with the same result, then you're not the only one with that type of ROM.

    Well, my tripod.uk host got fucked up while uploading, and everything else would only let me upload files 50 KB or less, I had to go with geocities (blech). Someone already tested it for me and they said it works, so hopefully it does.
